Do you believe that the VitaminWater brand (which is owned now by CocaCola) deserves to be under fire for "false advertisement" about its implied health benefits?

Im not a health expert, however in health class my professor pointed out to the class that Vitamin Water specifically is an advertising business and they are releasing false accusations towards people by telling them its "healthy" water, when really its just all business. When a coworker of mine buys it I tell them that its not healthy water, its bullsh*t and they want your money and of course they turn me away because I rant on the healthy subjects at work to almost about everyone, they all eat junk food there and I'm trying to tell them to eat healthier, though its not my business.
As for Vitamin Water, it is a business and they don't care for your health when they sell it to you.
I guess they should be, but it's not unexpected at all there vitamin water isn't all that healthy. False advertising maybe, I don't remember their ads and I didn't follow the discussion but people who bought believing it was healthy and are now complaining about it are just as bad. It's a no brainer that vitamin water is basically sugar water
It's a typical unhealthy drink with vitamins infused. Vitamins artificially infused will not be absorbed by the body as well as vitamins from natural sources like fruits. Vitamin Water, I'll admit, tastes great, but is extremely far from being called healthy.

False advertising is false advertising so if they're found guilty, they should suffer the consequences. It's bad enough that this corporation sells us 70% of the bottled drinks we find on shelves. They should at least report their findings accurately.

Vitamin Water is good for when you're dehydrated, just like Gatorade. But other than that, it's healthier to drink plain water. Electrolyte beverages are full of sugar, and you don't really need the extra electrolytes unless you're dehydrated or not keeping food down etc.
But it's probably still healthier than most sodas.
I think it does. When watching their commercials or looking at their branding, someone who doesn't know a lot about nutrition could very easily assume that it is healthy. Plus the claims it makes about the vitamins in its water and it being an overall health food are absolutely ludicrous and they deserve to be under fire.
No. I mean, if people were so concerned they'd look on the back at the ingredients. You can't always blame the company, they put the facts on all food and drink packages so its pretty clear
yeah they should be. If you use false advertisement you should be punished for it. I already figured there werent health benefits from it
