Getting an MRI on my back Monday..

I'm getting an MRI on my back Monday because I hurt it in Physical Therapy (long story..) and I was wondering is it possible to tear a Ligament in your back? Or a tendon or whatever.. I've had 3 knee surgeries, and I'm getting 2 more over the summer due to torn Meniscus. I need surgery on my wrist for a torn tendon too. So if there is something torn in my back that would kinda suck..

So yeah I was just wondering I it is possible to tear something in your back or what other injuries you could get there too. Thank you!

If you get injured and don't sideline yourself when you should, then it's possible for you to strain other muscles because your natural movements are modified to compensate. You are tattooed with injuries so it's definitely possible for that to happen since I assume you are active.

well from my point of view it must be tear in your inter vertebral disc or spine fracture in your vertebral column that's why they suggest you for MRI.

or your latissimus dorsi muscle could be torn due to over straining...

and yeah .. sorry for your surgeries, I've seen lot of them in my career but it's really painful if I put myself instead of patients I see , you know

actually fractures of vertebral column are very complex and surgeries for them are very hard compare to the other surgeries (except brain and heart) because fractures may involve the spinal cord so, could cause many functional disabilities . but you're very young and most advanced medical techniques are available in U.S, rather than my country plus recovery rate is very faster in young persons so nothing to worry about it buddy . get well soon :)

i'm not pretty sure because I haven't seen your reports and x-rays but like I said if it's bone fracture or intervertebral disc tear then you'll need surgery otherwise if you have muscular tear there's nothing to worry more about it

Yea, there are several ligament in your back to keep it straight.. There are also disks and many muscles so it could be a tendon too. Sorry about your meniscus, I know how bad it sucks

Awesome.. My knew PT therapist looked at my back after I hurt it and like he barley even touched it and I like started almost crying from the pain.. Haha so I guess I might need another surgery..

And do you? I hate tearing my meniscus.. It takes forever to heal and it hurts like hell lol

I tore it once from basketball and once from football but I only needed surgery one time so I'm thankful. My friend tore his too but he needed 2 surgeries and it still bugs him

Yeah I tore it in Dance.. Got surgery.. Re-tore it in lacrosse.. Got another surgery.. Had a doctor re-tear it on accident.. And got my recent surgery. This was all on my right knee.. It's also torn in my left knee from a dance injury too. And I need surgery for that. And my right knee doesn't seem to want to heal so they will probably end up taking the meniscus out.

Wow :/ you should really be careful because I broke my right ankle like 5 times and I was told if I break it a couple more times it won't be normal anymore

Oh that sucks I'm sorry :/ and yeah I have EDS so it really doesn't matter how careful I am.. I will always be tearing stuff lol. Like my doctors pretty much told me to never play sports again, but I can't do that.. I need to be active and I love to dance so I can't picture never being able to do that again haha. Oh and you probably don't even know what EDS is lol

I actually do... I'm a pre-med major in college but yea having the disease will make you injury prone.. I gave up football because I was a runningback and id get banged up every game but now I still play basketball 5 times a week or so and just lift weights since I can't really do much to my ankles with that
