Should I give it a shot?

Long story short a friend of mine asked me if I wanted join his coaching staff for a local little league team next year.

I attended a few of the practices this year and ended up giving some kids some solid advice. My friend and the other coaches tell me that the kids LOVE me and would like it if I was a permanent part of the staff.

So I was wondering on whether or not I should do it because well, to be honest, it will eat up a lot of my free time. I work Monday through Friday from 8am-7pm and on the weekends I'm usually already booked for social events with the friends and family I barely even see nowadays.

On the plus side though is that I love these kids. And I love both sports and teaching so I might as well combine the two and become a coach. But, most of all, little league helps keep these kids off the street and promotes a positive lifestyle based around physical fitness, sportsmanship, and hard work.

I seriously conflicted here. On one hand I don't want the added stress and pressure but on the other hand I really can't let these kids down. What would you do? What do you think I should do? Would I be making the wrong choice if I declined the offer? All advice would be greatly appreciated.

Just FYI I'll be the teams pitching coach; it's what I did growing up.

Should I give it a shot?
