I think you have dead end there. You get toned body and then what? Is there anything after that? Something positive? That is what keeps you going. I want to feel good and want to feel healthy. Want to get energy and flexibility. And I know that this will help me in many more dreams I want to achieve. That keeps me going. And I also fight with boredom and routines. Actually not any more. I usually don't feel like working out, but when I do, I just go. Then and there. I found things I can do anywhere (like contracting abs on bust stop covertly). When get bored with something else I use this as escape. And this works for me nicely. I am not saying that it would work same way for you. But I would suggest that you find your own times and places when you find it easier to start and carry on with working out. That would help a lot!

Its easier to focus on performance and let the toning come then focus on toning.
If you're lifting more, doing more reps, doing the same things in less time, etc., toning will come.
1. When I look at magazines, I realize they are all photoshopped and styled to look thinner.
2. I realize that all the crap they market about losing weight, being thin, etc, is just to make money off of people who would naturally never be that thin, so they keep having to buy more diet foods, gym memberships, etc.
3. I feel gratitude that my body works OK, and I try to respect it and take care of it by doing what makes it happy like eating a wide variety of foods, and going on walks, and getting plenty of rest.
4. I buy clothes that will look nice on my natural size, instead of trying to fit into things that are too small for me, so then I would have to be smaller to look good in them.
make challenges. don't set goals with how much you want to weigh-but with what you can do. 20 push ups, running 5 miles-cause ultimately-it's about health and your performance as a human, looking good is a bonus.
