Your actualy weight doesn;t matter much, it depends on how tall and big you are. If you were 6'2 then 170 would be very skinny, if you were 5'2 you would really need to loose weight.
The outfits in the pictures are designed to hide the figure (loose flowy tops) Judging be that I would guess you aren't completely comfortable with how you would look in a tight top, so loose weight until you want to go strut your stuff in a tight top. Well, if you are going to lose weight, do it for the right reasons and do it the smart way. I think you great in the first pic, I'd shoot for that goal first. If then, you've gotten in the good habits of eating smart and being active, certainly go for the extra. And, don't try to loose all in a couple of months, people who lose weight more gradually tend to be better at keeping it off.

I will only truly be able to tell how much weight you should lose if you provide a different shot
ex. a sports bra, shorts (so I can see the problem areas if any).
From what I see you def. have a little extra weight but it does not look that bad.
I think you look hot and the same in both pictures, yeah you may have put on some weight but the body goes through change over time for whatever reason.
I suggest eating a little less or divide your meals into 6, no friend and soda and exercise and you will look great.

You look fine to me in both pictures. In the second picture you don't look fat. You just look more "filled out" but that could be the outfit you had on covered a lot so I couldn't tell exactly how much weight you put on.
But, I think you should just do what you want. If you're happy with your body, don't lose weight. If you want to slim down a lithe, I think 20 pounds would be fine. I think 40-60 pounds may be a bit excessive. But like I said before, do what makes you happy.I think both weights look fine. If it's your health you're concerned about, start small. Aim for 155 then see how you and your doctor feel about your weight. Then try for another 10 if you and your doctor are OK with weight loss.
From an appearance perspective, I think you look fine in either. But since you've mentioned your doctor, his opinion(as well as yours) holds more weight than all of us combined togetherJust lose like 20 lbs. You need to go at it gradually anyways, so start by trying to lose 5 or 10 lbs. Then just see how you feel.
You still look cute, but if your doctor says to lose weight, then probably losing a little would be good.
I don't think you need to lose anywhere near 50 lbs though.I think you look good either way... But if you decide to lose weight I wouldn't go lower than the weight you were before depo. 120 would be tiiiiny for your frame, if even possible.

Lose weight till you like where you are, then stop.You look nice in both weight ranges but I guess if it's better for your health you should get back down to that weight.
If you can do it over a period of time and in a healthy way, sure why not. It's the doctors orders anyways, even if it seems a bit drastic.
I think losing 40-50 lbs would make you look even lovelier.
