I'm apple shaped and have been struggling for years with a huge tummy but slim legs and upper body, what am I doing wrong?

should I cut out all sugar from diet and just go walking/running? for my job I'm also I'm on feet 9 hours a day is that bad for the body?

Cutting back a little on certain foods is a necessity. Especially when wanting to lose belly fat. Also cardio exercises (exercises that really get your heart pumping and body sweating) are extremely is important.

Since you say most of the fat is in the tummy area, you need to cut out carbs and sugar. (NOT ALL OF IT, balance is the key to good nutrition) And you need more protein. Lean Protein. Peanut Butter is very oily, I suggest not to eat that too often.

I've read that fat is better for energy than carbs, (that doesn't mean eat a ton of fat) but if you had to choose between the two, go with fat.

Warnings:

1. NEVER eat trans fat.

2. 10000 crunches are not the way to a flat belly

3. Extreme dieting (under 1200 cal) is also not the way. I know from experience. I was so thin, my hair started falling out and my ass was so flat that wearing my jeans made me look like I sh*t myself. I was never more self-conscious. Whatever you do, don't go below 1200. A diet like that will most likely not last long either.

Try to monitor your intake throughout the day and do cardio exercises! Hope I helped. :)

I lost 20 lbs iin a month by working out 3-4 days a week for 30mins to an hour. I cut all sugar such as soda, candy, chips out of my life, plus pizza, hamburger and I started drinking more water and eating more vegetable. I starting losing weight. I went to weighting 160lbs to 136lbs now :-)

Try that. it works but must be consistent to see results

To get rid of belly, you need to change your diet first off. It's just where your body is storing fat, so eat healthier, no junk foods, and continue your exercises. You'll see results soon enough.

Usually belly fat is caused by too many sugars and refined carbs in the diet messing with your hormones.

I would suggest limiting sugar, eating whole grains instead of white grains, and making sure every meal has plenty of protein in it.

Also, get lots of sleep and do relaxation.

also, try some form of strength training like push ups and squats at home instead of so much running.

I don't eat red meats and basicly if your serious about losin weight eat NO sugar and I only eat vegetables and whole grains and jog a lot. Works for me(:
