Just think of it this way, in your own mind, this is your world. The girls around you are in YOUR world. Now, in your world, you understand that these girls have have the chance to go out with you if you walk up and talk to them. Once you start thinking that way, girls dnt seem all that scary and your confidence builds enormously. Girls will pick up on the confidence and want to get to know you.
Also the way you approach, guys walk up to girls afraid they are going to get shot down, and that makes you nervous. You need to approach with the mentalit of "i DARE you to reject me, because I'm gonna be so charming, you won't be able to".
What you think in your mind is translated in real life by the way you walk, your body language, and the tone of your voice.

Yes - be real, just sitting there daydreaming about flirting with girls aren't going to get your anywhere. If you lose the flab and get yourself an 8 pack, you stand much better chances.
