I'm not happier or feel better when I'm thinner ... what are some other motivations?

I've had a stressful year or two and put on 15 lbs. Oddly, I'm happier now than when I'm thinner. Being able to eat what I want within reason and only exercise moderately is pretty satisfying.

However, my boyfriend, of course, is not happy, as I've gained 8-10 lbs since we started dating (non related ... major work stress this year). He keeps nagging me about losing weight and then trying to feed me bull about it "making ME happier." Well, that one just isn't working. I need some other ideas on what could rev me up to count calories and all that jazz again...

Anywho, anybody got any suggestions?
