I am constantly judged because of a vision problem I have.

So I'm not exactly sure why people do this to me but I am constantly judged because of a vision problem I have I wear thick glasses Because of some complications I had at birth but I'm fine. I mean I don't have 20/20 vision like most people but I do just fine with 20/60. I have my license drive a car and see just fine. I read books and go to college like a lot of people do and I play sports as well. but when it comes to others being around me especially in sports and college work they look at me weird like there trying to look down at me like I'm less than them. in sports people will for example throw a ball to me much slower or softer and it pisses me off because I am a better athlete than most of them. what can I do to make this stop because the more it happens the more I want to just punch someone in the head, and if I say something they just will act like they don't know what I'm talking about. anyone else ever have this problem?

I swear I do not have any vision problems yet I plan to get one of those glasses,everyone loves them,they're a trend and look real cool...

Dear,if its not the glasses its the heigh,if not the height its the color,if not the color its the hair and so on and so on ..others will always try to make you feel like they see smthn wrong with you just inorder to lower your selfesteem that way you become less threatening to them thanks to what THEY made you believe of yourself in a slick indirect way...its kind of like reverse psychology sh*t you know? ...

So...stay the awesome person you r,and keep workin' those glasses,I'm sure you look great with or without them..

yea I guess your right people are screwed up. I don't treat people with a noticeable issue any different than anyone else and it is just really irritating to see people who do. but on the other hand I may not be so understanding of this had I not grew up the way I did.

either way you are right and its immature but I just hate being judged. yea I'm a pretty handsome guy I take care of myself the best I can. thanks for your comment

Have you ever tried wearing contact lenses? Or is that not possible for you?

no its a possibility and I do have a pair that I wear when I play football or basketball or what ever. the thing is I can't really read much smaller print when I wear them because my prescription can only be corrected so much. but they are just fine when I am running around I just can't really wear them as a permanent solution so I wear my glasses instead when I'm not doing something active.

They're looking down on you because you're inferior in terms of vision. If you want it to stop, prove that you're able to compete with them. Say something casual like "What am I? A vegetable? Throw like a man!". If you see someone with a leg deformity, your natural reaction isn't to challenge them to a race and then try your hardest, is it? It's similar in your situation. However, if the person with the perceived handicap proves that there is no reason to have a handicap in place, they'll remove it.

Ifthey're looking down on you because you're inferior in terms of vision, you're hanging out with a stupid bunch of guys. They're inferior to you in many other terms

thanks for understanding and I do feel that way a lot of the time. I am more educated, have a better job, do better with women than all of them but I don't ever criticize their weaknesses or god given flaws because I don't see the point in being an a**hole to someone for being different.
