What do you think of colored/circle contact lenses?

What is your opinion on colored contacts and/or circle lenses (alters the shape of the iris to make the eyes appear larger). I've noticed a lot of the Asian population where I live is very into bigger, more Caucasian eyes. I have to admit that I feel prettier with my circle lenses in. I don't have issues with sight. I wear them for aesthetic reasons. What do you think?

I like to wear them sometimes. I wear grey. Not because I don't like my eyes. It's just fun. And temporary. It's like role playing. When you get bored of yourself, you spice it up a bit for fun, and then back to normal. Makeup is about fun for me. I don't feel like I require it, I just enjoy it much the same as a guy enjoys tinkering with a car. I go out with boyfriend completely make up free, often. But if I have time to play with a look, that's good too. The variety is nice. I'm certainly not high maintenance and my boyfriend would agree, but he appreciates that I love to pretty up for him occasionally.

I think it's a little bit ridiculous to be honest. If you're changing the shape or color for the day or night or something, that's cool. But if you're trying to change who you are, that's sad. I go to college in San Francisco and there are lots of Asian girls, and their eyes can be just as beautiful as any other race.

I think it's a shame that they don't appreciat their naturally curved and shaded eyes, which I think are really gorgeous. Keep your eyes, don't trade them in!

I think Asians look incredible by default. I hate colored contacts with a passion, circle lenses I can deal with though I much prefer natural, gives you that unique charm that you can't get with mass produced real life photoshop.

As far as looks, circles can be nice looking on brown or black eyes, but I prefer natural because it's more the personality type I prefer. (not overly concerned or vain about her looks)

Oh no! I hope you didn't take that as an insult. Like I said, the circles can be nice looking. You have very pretty eyes. But they'd still be pretty without the circles...and be natural which is an added bonus.

You say Asian women do it to make their eyes look more Caucasian? I thought they just liked it better. I didn't know it was to make them Caucasian looking. I guess people just want something different and exotic. I always thought the eyes were one of the best features of Asian women.

They cause eye damage and cut up the pupil. They've cause blindness.

Where did you get this info? Can you link it to me? I'd like to know about everything before I really commit to wearing these things daily. I just got them in the mail a couple days ago.

I watched two different shows in which two different girls suffered from temporary blindness. link I think as long as you don't sleep in them or keep them in for prolonged periods of time you will be fine.
