New To Working Out, And I Have A Few Questions

Like my title says, I'm new to working out. I'm almost 18 and a senior in high school. I've played soccer in the fall, my whole life, but it was more recreational than truly competitive, and we didn't focus on getting in great shape. Now that I'm about to go to college in a few months, and summer is approaching, my best friend and I decided that we are going to work out, to tone up and get in shape. Both of us are pretty normal as far as skinniness goes. she's 5'11 and 135 lbs and I'm 5'4 and 110 lbs. We're doing at home workouts that we've seen our friends do and get great results for improving tone and shape. However, I've got a few semi-random questions about the whole working out thing.

First of all, does stretching on the days after your workout when you are sore help heal or ease some of the soreness? Is it good to do, bad to do, or does it matter at all?

Second of all, I have heard that putting lemon juice in water and drinking it helps the muscles heal faster and get the most out of the workout or something like that. do you know if this is true?

I know that a healthy diet is important, and we both do well with that anyway. BUT, are there any foods or drinks that help workouts, like help the muscles heal faster, or help your body get the most out of the workouts? Is there anything we should absolutely avoid that we wouldn't think to normally?

Finally, how long do we wait in between workouts for each section of the body? I know that you can do cardio every day, but I know it's probably not good to work out the same muscles every day either. we have workout routines for legs/butt, arms, and core. plus cardio. would a good week be to do for example: legs Monday, arms Wednesday, core Friday, and then cardio in between and on weekends? how should we go about scheduling these?

If you can answer any or all of these questions, please do! We very much appreciate it! :) Thanks in advance! :)
