Have you ever bullied someone because they were fat?
If so, why?
If so, did you feel bad later for what you did or said?
I think our society is very fat-conscious but again you look at other societies like in South Korea where near strangers will tell you you're gaining weight and that you need to lose weight. I'm sure there are people poking fun at each other there as well. I don't think a person should be offended by it. Just move on or lose weight. When I was in 5th grade the "popular girls" came up to me and all smiled like weirdos and called me fat. I laughed so hard at them and asked "if they had anything else obvious to point out like that the trees have green leaves because if no
t I have something more important to do." They ever bugged me again. I also lost weight though in 5 years.
I have never made fun of someone for their weight. But I have poked fun at my fat roommates eating habits after her making fun of my healthy food for 1/2 a year. I also have pointed it out to my father that he is gaining too much weight since its better to tell them and upset them so they work out and eat better than have them die of a heart attack. I did not feel bad about telling my dad but I did feel a bit bad about my roommate even though I didn't do it to her face.
No, I was pretty round as a kid. Luckily I lost a lot of weight as a teenager but I would still never make fun of someone because of their weight. It's a pretty horrible thing to be made fun of for.
Nevah, you silly little goose you! We all love youuuuuuuuuuuuu <3. So stop worrying about what others have said to you recently or in the past. Either they're twats who don't really matter, or they're just really dumb and don't know how to give love better. Either way, no need for their words to affect you. Stay happyyyyy. It makes everyone happy ^_^. But seriously. For someone as awesome as you, you really take what others say to you into way too much consideration :/. People say mean stuff when they have problems of their own they're trying to get past. So just remember that their lives aren't all that great either, and you're doing much better off than they are. Trust me. I know my sh*t.
Although, come to think of it, you would be really good at writing angry poetry! But anyway. Be happy, cause you rock. *hugz*
Who is this? And how do you think you know who I am?
Wow, I have to say, I am very offended that you don't know who I am. VERY offended.
No, you're not :-P
I so am! You didn't recognize /any/ of what I said? Do you ever pay attention to what I say, maybe? Or do you even enjoy talking to me? Jeez. This is ridiculous. I am so hurt right now.
Oh stop it! Haha!
I just didn't realize I was so transparent.
No. Screw you, anon. Screw you. IT'S OVER
...wait what? You went un-anon haha? Alrighty then :P
I mainly went anonymous because I wanted people to answer honestly, regardless of my size. And just as I thought, my saying I don't bully others about weight made someone assume I was fat. An interesting but expected discovery.
Well, it was probably also linked to the fact that you asked this question, and something must have prompted you to take the time to actually ask this question. So either you made fun of someone for being fat recently, or you were made fun of for being fat recently. And I'm assuming it was your mom or something who brought it up yesterday and made you feel bad about it again?
Eh, you know.
Thanks, Robin Williams :-P
Hahahaah I didn't even realize Robin Williams was in the video till I looked it up right now! That's pretty funny.
One time in middle school we had a canoeing class, where we would learn to canoe in the school swimming pool. I remember very distinctly this one girl getting in her canoe, and it practically sinking. Like, as close as you could get to sinking without sinking. Holy damn.
When she got out, there were waves. The entire guy's side of the class laughed their asses off, myself included though to a lesser extent.
It was very evident without there being words that she'd been deeply hurt by our laughter. Couple decades later, I do indeed feel bad about having laughed at her. I tell myself that our laughter gave her the drive to get thin, though, because otherwise I imagine her to be in poor health.

I did when I was younger. I used to make fun of fat people all the time. But then I think I got karma'd because I ended up getting really fat later. I've lost weight since then, and I plan to keep it off (this was back in High School) but I definitely don't do it anymore. I learned what it was like to be fat and made fun of.
whats with the thumb down?
I don't know, I didn't downvote anyone, and I actually upvoted yours :-)
Thanks. :) Maybe it was because I did used to make fun of people. So someone was judging me. But I was a young teen then. Like 13/14. I definitely learned my lesson and stopped doing it. I don't make fun of anyone now. I don't see the point.
Have you ever made fun of someone because of their weight?
Yes
Have you ever bullied someone because they were fat?
Depends on your definition of bullying
If so, why?
Depends on the gender:
- usually for gals they started some slut-shaming as in their minds the only way I could get so much male attention is because I'm easy
- usually for guys they responded verbally abusive upon rejection with some rant of me being a b*tch, dyke, lesbo, c*nt
If so, did you feel bad later for what you did or said?
No I don't say or do things I'd regret.
Have you ever made fun of someone because they were fat? - No
Have you ever bullied someone because they were fat? - No (never bullied anyone who's innocent of any certain thing / situation)
If so, why? - N A
If so, did you feel bad later for what you did or said? - I do nothing that I regret
Lol ...I make fun of my dad's weight all the time but the reason behind this is me caring enough for him to make him aware that this fat he has as a surplus is going to ruin his health and frankly I never felt bad for it, health comes first. Any other reasons to pick on someone's weight is stupid and shows up insecurities that the bully has with himself.
Making fun of someone's weight isn't going to help them lose it.
for TheGodEmperorLeto
"Making fun of someone's weight isn't going to help them lose it."
It's about raising awareness with a joke not humiliate people ...to make fun of something is to make fun(fun means joking around) ...to humiliate is a different story ... don't confuse them they are completely different things.
Have you ever made fun of someone because they were fat? Yes,only because she was a bitch and made fun of me too!
Have you ever bullied someone because they were fat? No..I am not a bully and never will be.
The first one I had to do because I was getting even with her...
Ah bugger, hand up but I am not proud.
It was never to anyones face and you tell yourself that means it's OK but it really isn't.
Wouldn't do it again.
No, but I have been bullied on for my weight and I don't appreciate it. I work hard for my body so I am very proud.
i have but only because they offended me first...i only do it as retaliation. and yes I always feel bad after
No but I have been made fun of and it sucks, I don't get how some people are so shallow blows my mind.
No. I was a little fat and chubby myself when I was around 10 and 11.
no, I've made fat jokes but not making fun of anyone directly.
Yes, I imagine that a large amount of people have as well at one point. Like smoking in the fifties, it is/was the thing to do at the time.
No, and that's shallow and stupid to do so.
Made fun- Yes.
Bullied- No.
Absolutely not!
Only as a form of retaliation.
Yes a few times.
thats what women do
No, that's effed up
Everyone has
I haven't.
Haha! I'm not, I've never bullied or made fun of someone because of their weight. Which is why I posted the question.
I'm not fat. And no, I don't care if other people are fat. Why should that bother me if other people are fat?
About what? Haha!
Hahahaha! You're a strange one.
What the...?!
Hahaha!
