Okay for the past 4 years I dealt with acne. I started in 6 or 7th grade it was something hormonal I think. Mu acne has cleared up and now I just have some acne scars. Here are some recommendations that actually work:
1. Drink lots of water each day at least 8 cups
2. Clear your face in the morning with a acne cleanser- salicylic acid
3. Use a moisturizer for oily skin- go for oil-free
4. Wear Sunscreen! ( important everyday)
5. change your diet! no sugars because it spikes up your insulin causing you to break out
6. Try soy-milk or dairyfree milk because regular milk has hormones... No dairy
7. Ask your doctor to prescribe you Retin A for your skin- this is like the miracle cream! Just to let you know the first weeks your face breaks out but don't give up because it is so worth it.
8. eat veggies or buy a juicer if you don't like to eat veggies then juice them
9. the clarisonic acne cleansing machine is good with the salicylic acid cleanser
10. Don't touch your face with your hands
11. Change your pillow sheets each week because they have germs
12. no junkfood- what ever you eat your face projects or shows
13. don't squeeze your pimples!
14 try homemade masks such as cinammon and honey; oatmeal masks (these are really good for acne) and try steams ( boil water and once its boiling put the pot on a table and sit on a chair and put a towel over your face for 20-30 min)
15. DOnt put on anything that clogs pores such as makeup or other stuff. Aim for non-comengendic
16. try chaste tree- I know its for women but this is good to regulate hormones and it clears up the face
Hope this helps any questions feel free to message me

Sounds like hormonal acne... All of the friends that I have that are on birth control have the prettiest skin, and I know girls that have a very clean diet and lifestyle but they don't take birth control, and they still get acne... I would get on it if I could afford it. If you're working out, eating right, and have tried going to a derm then it might be time to look into birth control or something to regulate your hormones. Genetics may be playing a role as well.
BTW, having sex doesn't cure acne. Reaps virtually the same benefits regular exercise would. ;)
You need to discover the cause of the acne which could be stress or dry skin you have already eliminated the diet option.Lemon water will purge your body of toxins and even kill the vacteria that causes acne sometimes when I get a zit I rub some lemon juice on it and it will reduce the size of the pimple if your skin is dry you can eat apples but prepare them by cutting with a knife and saving the apple peels to rub on your face apples are naturally exfoliating the medications you are using could be the cause actually... I had bad acne when I used medication on my skin and I do natural things to get rid of it now wich is producing results for me and have almost completey eradicated my acne with ocassional break outs everybody is different in what causes a person to break out.For me it was using medication on my face causing really dry skin its really nice that you only drink water that's all I drink also its one of the best things you can do for yourself.hmm and the virgin thing don't know if that's true or not but I masturbate and get a release almost everyday so that may help I don't know for sure also I used to let things stress me out easily and I kind of adopted a mindset where I don't let things bother me and greatly lowered my stress level sorry my minds kind of blank on this subject right now and am thinking about several things I know I have some more tips if your interested just can't for the life of me think of them right now goodluck ide do some research on the acne medications you are using.
Acne is caused by hormones, not cleaning your face, and genetics. 2 out of those 3 causes you can do nothing about and they're probably the root of it. Here's my advice. Start with topical stuff like Proactiv which works for some people. If you're not seeing improvements within like let's say 1-2 months, go see a dermatologist. You might want to just skip to seeing a dermatologist actually because they put you through topical stuff. Then if nothing topical works, they'll put you on oral medication like Isotretenoin. That ended up working for me. Good luck!

I was diagnosed w/severe comedonal acne by my dermatologist. I've had it since I hit puberty.
Accutane/Isotretinoin worked for me (causes REALLY dry skin & chapped lips sometimes though). After that, I went on a prescription for Benzoyl peroxide/clindamycin & Tretinoin which kept my acne down.
Currently, I weaned myself off the prescriptions (too expensive to maintain long-term) and am using cold cream to cleanse (1-2x/day), apple cider vinegar in a spray bottle (1x/day) to tone, and extra virgin olive oil or jojoba to moisturize (1x/day).
I've had a few pimples pop up around that time of month, but nothing that wouldn't be normal for an average, non-acne-prone person.Acne can definitely be caused by hormones, and sometimes it comes about for no reason at all. Getting on birth control helped me a lot. I also used a couple acne creams and a pill from a dermatologist at one point that cleared me up very quick. Don't over-do it on the products either or it will make it worse.
I was a really clean, healthy person who had bad acne too. Using too many products or over cleaning can anger it and make it worse really.
When I went to the dermatologist, they put me on Acutane. It's kind of a pain to be on, but my skin is really nice now. It totally healed it and took away some scarring. Haha it's magic. It would never hurt to ask your dermatologist?" I use the best face products" The best face products would be your skins own natural healing oils.. Maybe you are over washing your skin... spend a few days without doing anything... it will get worse and then get better... also keep in mind your hair products could be causing your acne.
Ask your doctor about reacutaine I've seen cure very severe conditions of acne
It could be hormonal. But "doing it" is not gonna help your acne. Birth Control will help in this case. If your skin is too dry due to the products you're using it may try to overcompensate by producing more oil, resulting in more acne, so make sure to moisturize. Drinking green tea and water with lemon juice can help if it is related to toxins.
