2) You've only dated her for 4 months... (She was a virgin when you met and you took it, you tell her she's beautiful, said she's the prettiest girl you've ever met, call her beautiful all the time.. so.. pretty I guess?)

3) You stopped partying all the time for her.. now you only go 2-3 nights a month..

4) You deleted all your ex's/past f***s for her because she asked you to...in exchange she let you go drink with friends with no questions or complaints.

Why did he do that...? I was so mad... I don't want to seem like I want his money... and he went and bought me this!? I wanted one and he knew it.. but oh my god...

LOL..love is a strange thing . guys will go out on a very small limb for his gal especialy if he thinks it will make her happy. do almost anything for her if she asks. even if she makes an off hand remark about wanting a Xbox at some time or other.

If's funny I just finished reading a question a girl had about wanting a guy who cheated on his ex-girlfriends, used them so he could afford rent and kept them around because he was lonely. And here you are upset because a guy who clearly likes you and has done multiple things to show you as such boughty you a video game.

now I understand not wanting to seem like all you want is his money but he bought it for you so just be grateful. Say "thank you, I hope you didn't spend too much and you really didn't have to", but otherwise be happy that he's willing to do such wonderful things for you...

if he can't afford it that's on him but you dont' want him to feel as though you don't appreciate the things he does. Now if it becomes clear he's trying to buy your affection then maybe you should address it but as of right now, just be grateful you sound like you have a good dedicated man

Wow. This guy is really whipped. Enjoy it. Would I buy a girl a girlfriend of 4 months an xBox? Well, first of all she wouldn’t be my girlfriend. That’s kind of soon to really know a person. So she’d be a girl I was dating, . How much is an xbox these days? Like $200-$300? Hmm. Tough to say. If it was for a birthday, or something like that and I really was starting to like her perhaps. But I also don’t believe that I am as financially strapped as your boyfriend appears to be. If he doesn’t have the money, and he still went and bought it then he is so into you. You basically can make him do whatever you want. One date usually ends up costing me $100-$150 bucks anyway. So if it’s $200, and I like her I don’t mind that. But I wouldn’t drop $500+ in one shot on a girl I’d only know 4 months. Also, as a side not-#4 was interesting to me. He has to get permission to hang out with his friends? Seriously?

We knew each other for 4 months before we started being boyfriend and girlfriend. No not permission to hang out one of the things we agreed on before dating was NO ALCOHOL. I give him a few drinking nights now, that's the ONLY thing he wants to do with his boys really.. xbox/drink or go to the races/drink If he'd go play pool, or just chill without alcohol I'd kick him out and make him go all the time! lol I love hanging out with my friends too. He just sometimes illegal sh*t drunk so I worry.

Answer 2) He might have a hard time dealing with money. But you are also not his mom. So maybe explain your worries to him in a loving way, like tell him how much the present made you happy and all, but that maybe he shouldn't overspend on you - that you love him and know that he loves you, also if he buys you cute, smaller presents. Be sincere and look him in the eyes saying this stuff.

Answer 3) Maybe he just stole it or bought it for cheap. In which case you would have to decide if you like that kind of behavior or not.

3) I know he didn't steal it because he had the money in a bank account for when he turned 18.. (I'm 19) and he went missing the right amount for an xbox... It didn't click at first until I opened the box...

I like to spoil the woman I love. If I thought it would make her happy, I would buy her an xbox or anything that I could afford with the little money that I could scrap together. Maybe that isn't right, but that is just how I am. I wouldn't think she was just with me for my money just because I got her a present.

I just never have gotten a gift from a boyfriend before. I've never accepted anything other than a movie ticket (Once) and a drink (Like a water, or a soda...) I'm always afraid to accept anything. Apparently a lot of girls are not use to getting gifts. I got a girl flowers once, and was accused of cheating, because she didn't understand why else a guy would ever buy flowers. I guess a lot of women are not use to romantic men.

He's definitely no romantic. He's going to Bristol with his friends.. drinking around a lot of random girls, and he is a totally different person when he drinks. He treats me like sh*t when he's drunk.. and he totally forgets or just doesn't care he's got a girlfriend... so I just don't understand it.

First of all you seem really insecure and as a result are reading way to much into everything he does, including this.

Personally I might not spend quite that much on a gift for a 4 month GF, but its not totally out of the question. I guess it just depends on the circumstances and my mood.

Quite frankly, I spend a $1000 on my Girlfriend and just about any moment because I'm just the type of guy that gets a lot of enjoyment from doing nice things for my girl. It never feels like a bad investment to spend money on her. That being said, I still cap my limit out of principal. I only spend certain amounts at different points in the relationship not because of the money, but because I don't want to portray the wrong ideas to her, good, bad or indifferent.

I doubt it. But it's possible. If her birthday was coming up and it was something we could do together too to strengthen our relationship then ya. A console/game could do that. I mean, X-boxes are pretty cheap now. Even 360s aren't too bad. I'd probably buy them something else though if anything.

I deleted ALL of my ex's and guys I flirted with previous to me dating my bf.. I deleted them before I asked him to.. and I only asked him to because a past one night stand of his was always posting on his wall.. and it was getting annoying. I wasn't going to be immature and cuss her out. I just asked him to remove girls like her. I'm not jealous of his female friends, only ones he's slept with or dated before.. I'd love to meet two of his female friends. They're so pretty. :)
