If a guy takes ten days to contact you after getting your number he doesn't like you that much?

situation: guy meets girl at a school event they talk he gets her number. she thinks he likes her but he takes ten days to contact her and asks her to "grab coffee sometime soon" when he does.

that's only casual or friends right?

if a guy doesn't get to me within 3-4 days of getting my number, I usually assume not that interested.

i do think when a guy likes her a LOT he will not delay more than a few days at the most! because he doesn't want to lose out and she will be on his mind. I understand some play it cool and wait a few days but after 3-4 of not hearing I assume he will probably not get back to me and usually I am right. all of the guys I've dated, been in relationships with, etc...got back to me within a 3-4 day range of getting my number, tops.

fair enough. I also had a situation where this guy from a dating site got my number and 6 days later I have not heard from him. he initiated contact and seemed very into me, he wrote me a very sweet, individualized thoughtful message. but have not heard from him. at this point I have lost my interest.

When Ted met his wife on How I met your mother, he called her the next day. That's Ted however just because this guy called/texted 10 days later, doesn't mean he doesn't like you, he could just have been too busy or too tired to get around to doing it. Most of the time people like making time to talk to the person they're calling, not while on the run or whatever. He asked you out for coffee. He wants to get to know you better, but doesn't necessarily like you just yet, he's interested. There's a difference

Just cause they did, doesn't mean he will. That doesn't mean he doesn't like you, just means he's "different"
