I think that is a good question. I was reading Steve Job Bio and listen to his speech at Stanford. He used to sleep at friends and get money from cans. Then bam, drop out become billionaire.
He clearly "fail" forward. I really believe in this theory that if you keep on trying (might have to use different methods like crawl, climb, and go around the wall instead of head on) then you will eventually have enough experience to get better and better. Have you watch "Jiro Dream of Sushi". So inspiring.
Anyways, when life throw you curve balls, you will eventually learn to catch it or to give up. Life is too short to give up or wait till you die. Might as well try for something you are passionate!

I strongly believe everything happens for a reason. There are many times when I feel like "Why is this happening?" and then sometimes something better than what I wanted in the first place happens.
& It's not a dumb question. ^__^
Sometimes people need to believe there's a reason for bad things, in order to handle it.
I don't think there's a reason. You make your own reasons. Psychology is super powerful.
Things seem to never work out the way I want them too, but I have a nice life regardless if they worked out how I want them to or not. So I guess things happen for a reason.
As for me, I always believe that things work out the way I want it.
It's been going on for years now and I've seen it with my own eyes.
