I went to school with a girl who competed on the olympics a few years ago and WON the gold medal for pole vaulting. I do knoe she trained hard-which became a part of her life. She endured injuries/surgeries throughout her career.
she has since retired and is now a coach for pole vaulters:)

It's like being a male athlete except with boobs and smaller pay
Probably its similar to how being an athlete is for everyone who is not top 20 in the world in their sport.
They don't sit around thinking about being the best in the world. They try to be the best they can be and beat whoever is in front of them.

i don't think they would even think about it, yeah, men have testosterone which means in some areas they will always have the natural advantage, that doesn't take away the achievement of being in the top ranking athletes of your own gender,
I'm sure a women who wins gold in the Olympics is not going to have any kind of inferiority complex, they've achieved the highest ranking of their natural abilities...and they'll still be fitter and faster than most other people on the planet.we don't really care about men being better than us in sports, since we are doing much better than guys when it comes to education.
Feels like being an athlete that isn't as good as a man athlete.
