What do you want to do when you grow up?

And for those GAG users slightly more along in years are you happy with what youve done in life or would you have preferred doing something else?

Personally I would like to farm when I get older, I just think it would be a lot of fun (granted a lot of work, but rewarding work) and well yeah that is pretty much it what do y'all want to do?

I'm actually not too sure. In less than a year I'll have a double bachelor's degree in law and history, with a minor in writing. Haha, it's a f*cking mouthful, but it opens so many doors - it's hard to choose one.

I THINK what I'll do is get my Diploma in Education, so I can teach for a few years. Right now my priority is traveling, and teaching enables that (wicked holidays and good pay) and I think I'd be good at it. I NEED to spend a few years seeing the world, and the qualification in teaching is international - teaching in South America? Asia? Africa? It'd be nuts.

When I'm in my late 20s I will probably do some legal prac and sit the bar test (which I will hopefully pass). Then I'd love to do something with the Department of Foreign Affairs, or the UN, or something involving policy. Hopefully publish some journal articles in history/legal journals in the midst of things :)

Sounds crazy when I put it all like that, but I doubt it'll be all that wild. Shit is generally way simpler than it seems.

My earliest dream was to become a teacher, I used to teach my plush animals as if they were my students. Then I wanted to be a policewoman. It could be the other way around, I forgot. As I got to puberty I wanted to do anything, any kind of work, as long as I can work with animals. My biggest dream was at that time to build or run a conservatory for rare animals. Now I'm studying languages and communication, but I'm still not giving up my dream about working close to animals. Maybe I'd work as an interpreter for Greenpeace or something.

Ok that's very cool, I actually do volunteer work at the shelter XP who knows maybe one day I'll see you there XP ha ha I also used to want to be a teacher I thought it'd be fun since I like kids but then again there are a lot of crazy kids out there lol g'luck!

lol yeah I seriously gave up the idea of teaching after my mom taught English on all grade school, middle and high school. Her voice got all croaky from all the constant loud talking in class, and how some kids are just horrible and never listens. And I was also one of those kids who just ignores the teachers and talk sh*t about them lol

Honestly I've been taking a lot of notes lately and I would like to maybe right a fantasy/sci-fi series someday. I'm going to return to college soon and perhaps learn another language and minor in English so I'm better at writing. I'm creative but my writing ability is pretty low since I was one of those students in high school who got by on his test grades without doing papers or any homework lol

I hope to get a degree in psychology in college and then go to med school to become a psychiatrist. If I can't get into/afford medical school, I'll use my psych degree to be a therapist. But, hey, I'm still young, so the dream can change at any moment xD

I haven't really decided yet, I just know I like psychology. I took intro to psych my junior year and now I'm taking abnormal/social psych as a senior (high school).

I really want to get school over with and start working as a doctor lol. Right now, I still have a long way to go until I can start working as a radiologist. Hopefully I'm still going to be willing to go to school for a few more years after I become a radiologist, so I can go into a sub-specialty :P It might be too much for me though lol

As young as I can remember I wanted to be a Vet, then I wanted to be a doctor, then later more specifically I wanted to be a surgeon. Now I'm settling for a RN which I'm working on lol.

I think I'll be happy because there are many ways to grow in nursing and if I decide to down the road I can be some kind of doctor.

I'm happy enough with what I'm doing, even though it wasn't what I intended to do with my life. I majored in psychology in college and came out with an A+ if I'm not mistaken, and I intended to get my PhD in the field and do whatever I could with it after that. But again, things didn't quite turn out that way.

Haha! good luck with that man I absolutely suck at math, I wanted to be a doctor and am one of the smartest people I've met when it comes to medicine (people always come to me asking questions about medical stuff, even pre-med majors) but unfortunately I was diagnosed with a Math learning disability (says I can only understand math up until the 8th grade level) lol so that kind of killed it for me XP any idea where you want to work? pvt, or public etc

I am learning/studying Quality Assurance. I wanna work as a QA engineer in New York City. QA is a field that is big and will stay big for a long time. So I don't have to worry about changing careers anytime soon. Plus, my dad works in QA, so he can really help me out by teaching me. He's gonna try and get me an internship (at least) at where he works. Having an employee bring me to his job increases the chances of me getting an internship or an actual job as a starting point.

But yeah that is a great help going into the same work as your dad, he already has all the contacts you need etc. would you be on the engineering side or checking up behind to see if everything does the job it is supposed to (I apologize if this isn't what you were talking about I just read a quick thing about it and couldve understood it wrong.)
