Muscle weighs more than fat. So yes. You will lose fat therefore look thinner, but the scale with either not have moved or gone up do to the gain of muscle. Don't ever use a scale. It's just a number that measures the force gravity is pulling down on you. Go off of how your clothes fit and how you "feel".

Yes. I started working out again and I gained about 2 pounds in just one week. Clothes will fit better and you'll feel good about yourself. No need for that weight scale. If you stop working out, you'll lose tone, which will lead to muscle loss, which equals a lower number on the scale.

Yea, that's muscle! ha => muscles weighs a lot more than fat so what's happened is you lost your fat but you built up muscle so you ended up gaining weight but you look better and you are healthy. So keep it up =)
