This is something I would bring up with a dietician. However, you always want to make sure you're getting enough protein and healthy fats as well as carbs. Protein keeps you full for longer so if your problem is not getting enough to eat then you may want to cut back on protein and increase carbs. Pasta is a great source of carbs and will help get your calories up. My cousin has the same problem as you and she makes sure to eat frequently (at least every 2 hours). She is sure to eat lots of carbs, cheese etc. but she doesn't eat a lot of candy or cakes. You can gain weight healthily but candy or sweets are not the way to do it.
Also, please don't listen to the guy who previously answered trying to convince you not to gain weight because men like slim women. It's not about what men like, I'm so sick of hearing men try and tell women what or what not to do because of their personal preferences. If you will be happier and more confident by gaining a bit of weight then do so!

How many calories have you been burning? You need to eat an excess of 3500 calories a week to gain weight.
You're just fine the way you are. Gaining weight without working out means it will mostly go to your thighs and midsection and spoil your silhouette. Sure it will also make your boobs bigger, but the bigger waist more than cancels that out. At your height, just five extra pounds will make you look chubby if it's all in those areas.
A week isn't enough to notice any difference, though. As Cav said, you'll only gain maybe a pound a week.
But it won't be long before your jeans are tight around the waist and hips...
If physical activity is constant, it will take 3,500 calories to gain one pound. At this rate you could gain about a pound a week which is unnoticeable. I think trying to gain weight is kind of a shame because it's very likely this will happen naturally and in 10-15 years you'll probably miss your current weight. You're still right at the bottom end of being healthy and you're young and I bet you have a slim frame. Are you eating unhealthy or do you feel pressure to gain weight to be attractive and please guys?

if you find it hard to gain any weight, with increased intake, and less activity, its simply your body being stubbornly efficient. (or an underlying medical condition) I'm 6'0 & 135, so we got about the same body type I think. even at 3000 calories a day, I could gain some, yea, but the moment I stopped packin it down, id go straight back down to about 135. the doc told me its my metabolism. given my age, health, and mcd's was a rarer than santa in my childhood, he wasn't the least bit surprised. best thing to do is wait for your body to start slowin down with age... which may take a while. on the bright side... greasy, fattening, artery clogging, guilt free OM NOM NOMS ftw! :)
Yeah eat more and exercise less
