What is your attitude towards food like?

I've been watching Extreme Makeover Weightloss Edition on YouTube lately. And I realised, how some of those morbidly obese people have a certain attitude towards food that is unhealthy and led them to overeating or eating junk. And this attitude is brought on by nurture, not nature.

Of course, it made me reflect on my own attitude towards food. I used to think I'm genetically prone to being overweight, but now that I really think of it, I think it was all just bullshit excuses. My parents were skinny when they were young. So no, I don't think it's genetic. When comparing to my friend's attitude towards food, I realized that all through my childhood, I've never been hungry. Ever. My parents raised me with an attitude that food is something good, they've only taught me to listen to my tast buds and not my body. So if we'd just had breakfast buffet at a hotel, and when we go out we see a snack we've never tried before, we buy it and eat it, even thought we were still full. I never learned to see food as fuel, necessary only to survive. I'm trying to end the cycle now and trying to change my attitude towards food.
