I jog a mile in 7 minutes so I'd jog the whole thing and mix it with a run. The track at my school is 1/7th mile long so 7 times around is a mile. I jog the whole thing but usually around lap 4 or 5 I pick up to a long stride and go faster. So I figure I could do a mile and a half in under 14 minutes.

I'm old and less fit now, so I'd jog. I'd probably jog and run or just run when I was younger, though. It would depend on if there was any incentive to get it finished earlier and/or if there were other activities to follow how "all out" I'd go on it.
I remember running a mile numerous times in gym class during middle school. I would do a mix. A little bit of running, then a jog to cool down a little. Then run again, and so on. It worked best for me back in those days.
I'd practice and time myself beforehand, so I knew in advance roughly what pace I needed to run - you should be training for it anyway, if you've got a fitness test coming up.

I've done that for the police physical fitness. I jogged the whole thing and towards the end I walked due to my damn cramps acting up -_-. But I passed anyways lol
I'd collapse after a few hundred meters due to adrenal insufficiency. From that point I think it'd take quite a while to convulse my way to the finish line, probably way more than 14 minutes.
1.5 miles in 14 min is lame and slow.
1.5 miles in 9 minutes is more reasonable.
That means a six minute mile followed by a 3 minute mile.
1.5 in 7.5 minutes is fantastic .
That means a 5 minute mile and the a 2.5 minute half mile.A mile and a half in 14 minutes is quite slow.
I would run the whole way as its not very long distance for me. I could complete that distance in under 9 minutes. My best is probably around 8:40.I would mix sprints and jogs. I could jog the whole way but I'd rather do 4 1/4 mile sprints and jog in between each sprint. That way I'd finish much quicker.
sounds pretty easy to me.
sorry to go a little off subject but this kinda reminds me of the Guinness world record of 2000 where they had some joggers run up the Empire State Building from entrance all the way to the top in 9 minutesThat's 6 miles an hour - I could do that when I was younger - now I'm not so sure. If you are above average, it should be doable for you.
A few years ago it would have been no problem run all the way. Now might not make it in 14 min if it had to be done run walk for a couple min then run the rest.
Other than having Rosie O'Donnell get naked and chase me, I don't think I could do it.
Take one step and then faceplant.
I would mix up jogging and sprinting.
Well what happens if we don't? Shark attack?
