I would say my highest level of stress was freshmen year of high school where it was like a 9-10 due to extreme amounts of bullying (verbal and physical) as well as pretty severe home issues. Then I just kind of broke by sophomore year and didn't stress out at all anymore. Why? If somebody tried to mess with me, I'd simply hit them. Guy said something about my sister? Headbutted him. I went from the "easy target to bully" kid to the "avoid him at all costs" kid. Started doing whatever I felt like, rarely stayed home and when I was home nobody was around anyway.
From that point till about 18 I was fairly stress free. Didn't really care about much. Out of high school I started to feel like things were looking up. My mom moved out and my dad moved in (So now it was just me and my dad). Things got better and simpler. Things were good for a little while. That lasted a little under a year then my best friend died, a few months later the economy tanked, which caused all construction work to completely freeze up for multiple years... construction being my dads job. He had no work, and eventually we had to sell the house I grew up in. Then I lost my job, which in turn I then lost my health insurance as well.
At that point I'd say my stress level was pretty high, though I think I was too emotionally deadened to notice where exactly it was. I was more depressed than stressed. That lasted till about 22.
At 22 I decided my life was my responsibility and that if anything was to change, it would be by my own doing. So first step was to go back to boxing, something I stopped doing when my friend died (he was the one who got me into it). I went to the local gym and from there it's been all up.
My stress level today is one or 2. Maybe a 3 on weeks where a lot of exams and papers are due. I'm 24. I don't stress out much anymore. I'm very confident that whatever life throws at me I can handle and that when the day comes where that isn't true, I've come to terms with that reality as well. I'm simply not afraid of the inevitable things that happen in life anymore. I remember hearing something that basically said, people get caught off guard and they aren't prepared for failure and hardships. That's what trips them up. I don't let myself get caught off guard anymore. I know all the things that can go wrong and I'm ready for that possibility. I do what I can and when there's nothing else I can do I shift my focus to something else where there is something more I can do.
I think teenagers have more stress than adults not because their lives are more stressful but because we haven't equipped them with the tools necessary to deal with the stress they face these days. Adults have grown up lived through things, and learned to adapt (most of them at least) so they don't stress out as much. The teens lack the experience to deal with these stressful events in their life so they stress out. That's on us for not being there for them and teaching them what to do.

2 I learned how to suppress stress, because it doesn't help you in any way. You being stressed out doesn't change anything except your personality and people around you. Look at live like this you work shet happened there, day ended, you walked out and you forgot about all of it (because it is all irrelevant) , it is a difficult skill to acquire, but it is very possible and if you learn how to do so, your life will get improved by 100 times. TRUST ME
21. Teenagers? I call bullshit on that one. I'm at uni and high school was a piece of cake, as I remember. You just put the time and effort and you performed well. Doesn't work that way in uni. You can put every hour of your day and still fail, also go absolutely nuts in the process. I'd say my stress day to day is probably 6-7, but surrounding exam time? 10 and meltdowncity. And since it's exam time more often than not... I remember feeling some heart pinching last summer when I was working full time and take a course at uni. I was so stressed out and exhausted I was approaching a burnout. So I think that time at uni is the worst. Sometimes, if not often, you work as hard as your body will let you. You do that relatively frequently and sometimes for weeks at a time. It definitely pushes the enveloppe further than I've ever experienced. But that's if your degree is actually challenging, of course. Cause everyone knows some aren't.
I'm 21 and I'd say my stress level is around a 7.
I live with my best friend, who is moody, depressed, and used to be suicidal. I moved in with her with the purpose of keeping her from hurting herself. I do whatever I can to make life easier for her.
My job is a home health aide for seniors. I go to patients' homes for however long they need me and I help them with whatever they need help with. Sometimes it's just some light cooking or cleaning. Sometimes it's bathing and changing diapers.
So basically, I'm taking care of someone 24/7. It's a lot on my shoulders but I do a good job of staying positive.

I'm 21 but I do have to say that I was a LOT more stressed when I was in high school because of school. My friends did not want to help even if we had the same classes, my parents were losing our home, we didn't know where to go. My immune system started getting weaker, I didn't eat, I didn't want to go to school. I felt pressure from teachers & students. It sucked. I'm glad that stage was over and done with. I can now see the similar stress with my brother who is a junior. Luckily he has me to help him with school work I had NO ONE. Staying up until 4 am to finish essays, projects, assignments & homeworked sucked. I had so much work. As a teenager my stress level was a 10. I would rest when I was in my Teacher Assistant & Theater Tech classes.
At least a nine.
I'm a highschool sophomore. I need to go running daily to exhaust myself and relieve my stress so I can fall asleep because I have stress induced insomnia.
If I don't go running, within days random muscles including my eyes, neck, back, shoulders, and legs start to spasm and twitch. I cannot sleep. Also my back cramps up, and I stop getting my period.
During field hockey season, I had meltdowns nearly twice a week, couldn't sleep, was constantly irritated, and I stopped getting my period for four months. I also lost weight but that can be attributed to the exercise.
Sorry if that's TMI but I think it kinda shows the severity of the situation.22 and I would say around a 2 or 3. I've had extremely stressful times such as the stretch of time where I found my grandmother dead, watched my mom self medicate and stop functioning, became responsible for all of her duties while trying to finish my degree and working, and then had a bad car accident that took a while to recover from. I was so stressed! So now when I am jammed with assignments or work stuff, I look back to that time and count my blessings.
I'm 19 and my life is pretty high stress but I learned how to manage it. I have 3 younger sisters aged 13, 15, and 17, and I notice the 15 and 17 year olds are falling to pieces because of stress. When I was their age I was just as stressed as they were when I was that age.
As a teenager, whenever I felt stressed, I'd go flirt with some girl older than me. I recommend that for current teenagers if you aren't willing to seek professional help.
