Anybody have any tips on how to stay on your diet?

So im starting not really a diet I guess more like a life time choice, for health, weight and spiritual reasons. Im eating no red meats, vegetables and fruit only. I will only it grain if its completely natural like wild rice. But im having trouble with cheating! Lol I eat a cinnamon bun today and I feel awlful now. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to not cheat? If it cheat its just a little but I dont want to at all. I drink a lot of water and coffee too cuz it helps and its not like im starving myself. Advice would be greatly appreciated!!
