Hi! I'm looking for some new form of exercise to do. I have post-concussion syndrome, and a history of brain injury, so I just got the go ahead to start light jogging/brisk walking, which for me, is super blurg. I like to run and play rough energetic sports like field hockey, boxing and soccer. That said, at this point I'd be willing to do anything. I know you aren't doctors, so I'm just looking for ideas to talk to my doctors about. I really miss sports, so I'm trying to find other fun things to do. It needs to be something that is very gentle. For an example, I've been doing lots of stretching, but I want something with an actual game. I know options are pretty limited, and so far the only ideas I've got are Tai Chi and archery, but I don't know how to do either. Any ideas would be helpful!
Kettlebells.
There is a large variety of exercises that are easy and fully involving. They are designed to tone full functional muscles, instead of larger isolated (and relatively useless) muscles.
There are a ton of free full length work out videos on YouTube, and the kettlebell is relatively cheap. Another plus is that its one piece of equipment, easily stored and does not take a lot of space.
