Hurt myself: Tell me what I hurt, how I hurt it, and how to fix it?

Anonymous
Hey there, hi there, ho there.

I appear to have somehow injured myself. I've included a picture of the area with the area that's hurt circled.

I would appreciate it if you could possibly tell me WHAT exactly is hurting - as I'm not sure.

HOW it came to be injured - if at all.

And how I should go about fixing it?

I go to the gym on a daily basis. My typical workout consists of running 5-6 miles on the treadmill, and then doing a series of abdominal workouts that include but are not limited to sit ups, crunches, leg lifts, Russian twists, and planks. I follow this with some weights.

When I run I keep it at a brisk jog. I average a 9-10 minute mile at this pace. Sometimes I sprint for a little during which time my pace is about a 6 minute mile.

Today I got on the treadmill like usual and started my jog - after a warm up walk, of course, and about 10 minutes in (I usually run for an hour) I started feeling this pain in the area circled. It is only on the front. From my hip area and it goes to about the top of my kneecap.

I slowed to a walk and it got worse. The walking/running motion irritates it.

Nothing major. Just kind of this dull twindgy (sp) feeling.

Advice on what exactly to do about it would be sweet. Think it'll just go away if I ignore it? :p
