No cough or sore throat, but bloody mucus-y looking stuff coming from throat?

So, I was layIng down & felt a 'lump' I guess you could say in my throat, and I kind of forced it up, & it was like mucus, with what looked like a piece of skin or something and it was bloody looking. Any ideas on what this may be?

No, I am not a doctor. You should go see yours. Have you been ill recently? My dad was coughing up blood from retching before. If it's not from a dry throat it could be an infection or something worse, so you really need to see a doctor ASAP.

No I haven't been sick lately.

sounds like either a bronchial infection or perhaps some sort of tissue abrasion. it's not really a major issue. If it happens again and especially in a day or two I would def go to a doctor

Thanks, I was kinds scared, & I don't have insurance to go to the doctors or anything.

maybe one of those CVS minute clinics or a free clinic.

Go to doctor. It is definitely infection. May be your bronchial area is affected.
