Have you ever thought about how much looks matters in your everyday life?

It took me many years to realize this. I'm still only 17 but I can already tell that no, I didn't get the best physically appearing genes.

I was always told that I'm pretty (by my parents and other family members etc), so I really believed in it. I thought I'm decently pretty until the age of 13 or 14. Then I started to wonder why I always got left out from some friend groups, why people had bad first impressions of me, even though they didn't even know me at all. Im far from drama queen and Im never trying to be mean to anyone. I've taught to be genuine and kind to others. This confused me for years. Why random people who didn't even know me had worse image of me than the attractive person next to me who they didn't know either? Then when I was about 15 I realized it. Im not that pretty. In fact, I could say im not even average. I know everyone has their own taste on what's pretty, but we all know what kind of face attracts the majorty of people. This being said, I've already lost chances in my life because of my looks. It's not so easy to get "popular" or "social" friends, even though i am very social. It's not so easy to get a job. It's not so easy to get a good grade from a male teacher. It's not so easy to get a succesful husband. It's not so easy to be accepted. This is terrible to admit but It's true. Something that we didn't choose will affect so much in our everyday lives. With a pretty face and healthy body you can go to places much more likely. It is unfair and there's nothing to do about it (unless you want to fall for surgeries etc). I'm a happy, friendly and social person. That's all I can do to be a "better" person in this society. Meanwhile those naturally pretty girls can be bitch to everyone and good looking guys will still like them, and they will get jobs more easily. So unfair but no can do..
