What Guys Said 21

  • Obese is a clinical term. As such it belongs to medical doctors and dieticians. For that reason alone, I do not use it.

Fat is too broad a term to have any useful descriptive power at all. A person that is 20 lbs overweight might be described as being 'fat'. Then again, a person that is 200 lbs overweight might be described as being 'fat' too. So goes the utility of the word 'fat' as a useful label.

As far as body type goes, the picture referenced in the question shows a woman whose body could accurately be described as being chubby.

  • she's definitely obese... i assume she's just had a baby recently since the photo is from babycenter and she's got the tell tale dark vertical line extending through the belly button down to her pelvis

  • While it is unhealthy to be fat or obese. The old saying; "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" is true. If a someone loves a woman and he tells her she's beautiful, it does not matter if she's fat or obese, that woman becomes beautiful.
Not just to them, but also to herself.

    Make sense?

  • Why yes I would and obese and fat are the same thing. Obese is just a nicer way to say it.

Now over weight and obsee/fat is different. Over weight is still around the range of what they should be with just a little extra.

  • Weights only a number. It mostly matters on attitude, But in all honestly, I would prefer to date someone with her body then a skeleton, I wouldn't want to have sex with a skeleton either.
