Just to preface this, I use to be obese and about a year and a half I lose 70 lbs. My only form of exercise was cardio. I obviously lost a lot of fat; however, I also lost muscle as well. And I'm also Asian and we are pretty known for having flat butts (at least IMO). Fat me didn't much butt, skinny me had an even flatter butt. So about 2 months ago, I decided to weight lift to gain muscle, especially in my glutes

First of all, congratulations on losing that amount of weight: it is remarkable and you should be proud of yourself!
Your booty is ok and normal, and you're in the right direction to enhance it with exercises. Do your squats, eat properly (proteins) and with that discipline and will of yours you will get there!
