Also, do you think it's common for men to get foreign brides? Does anyone have any ratios & statistics for how common this is?

From a guy who wondered himself and looked into it:

1. Marriages with mail-order-brides have a lower divorce rate.
2. Foreign women tend to be more realistic.
3. Foreign women tend to be more traditional.
4. Foreign women tend to value marriage more than Americans (men & women).
5. Men are tired of "the game" and just want to settle down with a family.
6. American women are always chasing a fantasy, Prince Charming Syndrome.
7. American women are hard to deal with (unrealistic)

Yeah, it's a "manosphere" type of web page but the dude mentions a study by the United States Center for Immigration Services which magically disappeared over the years. I know this is absolutely true because I READ IT off the federal website! It's completely gone now! That's where I got my information about low divorce rates. Talk about misdirection and censorship...

Now, I'm not saying everything I mentioned about American women is true. It's just a perception and not all of it is manifested at the same time. I've dated a lot, talked to a lot, bumped into a lot of women and I'm telling you I'm pretty much over it. Guys on this website hope for more by trying to understand women and be nice but fuck it dude. I used to be the same way but there's nothing to gain. In the end we can't keep a woman from divorcing us and that's basically the whole game, basically the end-all reason why guys are going to mail order brides.

It's ugly, but that's the way the game works now in America, and that's why women should focus on marriage at a younger age and try to get a man who will commit to them for life instead of trying to live for the moment and sample each cock they comes across. That's not necessarily true. If I were a widower at age 50 I would probably look for a woman closer to my age if anything. No need finding a younger woman for the following reasons:

1. Different stage of life- prob still have kids or want to go out and party.
2. Different experiences
3. Different issues, I don't want to be the old arthritic man with a young bombshell taking care of me. That's just ridiculous.

There are plenty of guys that think like me too. So don't feel all bad about it. You're already exhibiting a classic female trait: Applying ACROSS THE BOARD logic.

Well to be brutally honest, no matter what age I am, if I am single and can get an attractive 18 year old girlfriend, I'm going for it. I actually know an older man, over 50, who got him a girl barely over 18 from overseas. He got in a motorcycle accident and was in a coma for several months and was on life support, she never left his side the whole time, and would not let them pull the plug on the life support. He eventually made a full recovery and they are still together years later. So please don't judge those women or the men that seek them.

I would say the majority of them are awkward people that are too shy socially to go out and date here. If he has tried he probably was turned down mostly. Or was screwed over by women because it is mostly women that screw over men.
The "ideal" situation with them is that they get an attractive woman that comes from a place where women are treated as 2nd class citizens. So they get to play "the man" and dominate her and she does everything he says.

My uncle went on one of those sites that match you with a foreign girl and he paid for her ticket, they got married, and she divorced him after she obtained residency. He couldn't find someone here. After the divorce he met another woman in his city had twins and another child, but then they also got a divorce.

Almost every guy out of the dozen or so I know with "mail-order-brides" had been married to white American women before. Most of them to more than one. So it certainly wasn't that they couldn't get a woman. It's that those women cheated on them or divorced them. So these guys are left alone or with kids that the mother won't help raise and they find themselves a foreign wife after hearing how much success their friends had.

And do you want to know why there are no mail-order-husbands? Women seldom travel. And women have their pick of the litter here. Even a fat unattractive woman can have a dozen men ready to fuck her brains out anytime. Those men are nowhere near the calibur of these men who have the money to travel overseas though. So really women had their chance with these guys and screwed it up.

Furthermore I've been overseas and seen where people live in bamboo shacks with dirt floors. A lot of these women did grow up poor and it makes them appreciate the small things.

They aren't really mail-order-brides, they are usually hooked up with Americans through family living here, or the American men meet them while traveling to those countries specifically looking for love. The people perpetuating this mail-order-bride myth are just jealous white women who don't know any of those women personally. My stepmother is from another country and I know plenty of other men who have went to that country and found wonderful wives. White women simply don't take marriage seriously anymore and those men seek love elsewhere. Not only that but plenty of different studies have all come to the same conclusion that not just white men, but nearly every demographic of men prefers Asian women. They are just better wife material and that's all there is to it.
