Do you expect a side salad to be served at a wedding?

I've never attended a wedding where salad was served, but I was wondering if guests expect it. Like should it be an appetizer during cocktail hour? Should t be apart of the main meal? Or neither?

  • Salad comes before the main meal. Its light meal before the main meal. People are always hunger so you put anything in front of them they will eat it.

    • Is it really needed if another green vegetable is being served?

    • No , if there is another green vegetable being served than leave the salad out ,

  • Not a part of the main meal. After it

  • It's part of the main meal. A salad is expected in basically all cultures.

  • I'm pretty sure I've always gotten a salad as an appetizer before all the wedding dinners I've had. My memory is a little fuzzy on some but that's pretty standard.

  • I think a side salad while everyone waits for the main meal is good :-)
