It’s different for every woman and it has a lot to do with her journey in life and how soon she and her life partner cross paths. To play it safe, I wouldn’t get married before the age 28. I think that personal development as a single, childless woman who does not commit a large portion of her identity towards serving the needs of a man in a relationship is extremely important. Career development is also a very important part of being a woman. Men are not indestructible and should there be a dry season financially because they’ve been injured or struggle to find work, a woman needs to have the resources and skills to maintain a fruitful household. It’s also really important for the female spirit to enjoy the freedoms of singleness with things like girls trips because once you’re married, your schedule is less flexible and once we bear children there’s a certain level of schedule freedom that is no longer optional.
I can’t wait to settle down one day, create a lovely home with someone else, and experience a marriage where my husband and I serve each other but my days of being single are precious to me.
