Orthodontist... Why did he say this?

So i went to the orthodontist and he said he could tell by my voice and smile i would need braces... Why my voice? It sounds normal to me, i dont have speech problems or a lisp.

And this wasn't something you thought to ask the orthodontist when you were there? He is...oh I don't know, the one with years of schooling under his belt and years more professional experience who told you this in the first place.

He said it because your tongue, teeth, and jawline influence your speech. And when he can hear certain things in your voice, that tells him something about your mouth. What that is, I don't know. Because again, he's the doc...not us on GAG ;)

Nope, he kept on talking and i could barely even speak. I didn't wanna interupt aka be rude. And by the way some people on here could be orthodontists. ;)

Ah, nonsense. Just get a word in there, that's not rude. You could've asked a question if you wanted to. Don't be so shy ;)

And I highly doubt there would be many (if any) orthodontists hanging out on some Q&A website for dating and relationship advice. I work closely with ortho's...do you know how busy they keep?
