In general, I prefer naturally tan colored skin over naturally pale skin but it all depends on the face, body, and person that comes with it. Remember, this is just my opinion. I cannot speak for anyone else. No one can speak for anyone else, much less an entire gender.
What I don't like is women who use cosmetics and other artificial means to become tan or pale. This essentially shows that they're too vain and self-obsessed to be the kind of woman I'd ever want to be with.
I feel even more strongly about women who pay plastic surgeons (lots of money) to permanently disfigure them with plastic surgery and/or breast implants. For me, it's a sure sign of mental illness. Whatever the root causes are for their low self-esteem and poor self-image, these issues cannot be solved with a surgeon's scalpel.
That said, I can understand getting plastic surgery to correct a severe birth defect, disease, or disfigurement caused from an accident or other kind of physical trauma.
My best advice is to try and figure out why you feel the way you do about yourself. And the second thing is to understand that from the time your were born, you've been bombarded with corporate ideas of what 'beauty' is and that repeated message has a serious effect on your minds and helps shape the minds of the society in which we live. While it may not be a conscious phenomenon, it most often reveals itself in less than obvious ways.
Anthropologically speaking, to break it down to its most fundamental element, most human beings are attracted to healthy looking people. Surprised? Of course not.
So, take care of yourself, eat healthy, exercise/play/be physically active, have good personal hygiene, get plenty of sleep, drink lots of water, don't smoke, don't drink, don't do drugs, and do your best to be a good human being. You're going to be alright.

Pale skin, in my opinion, is better. It contrasts dark hair and eyes, and really brings out a person's features.
Tanning I am against in general, as it destroys the skin over time. I'd much rather look like I'm 35 when I am 50 years old, instead of looking 70 years old. I've seen way too many people who've tanned their whole life, and the don't look very appealing.
I am no guy, but I have an asian friend, who looks just amazing with and without a tan. Though, I think guys are attracted to her more so when she's NOT tanned. And trust me I have noticed that and she realizes it! She has black hair and dark eyes so the pale skin is what brings all her assets together and so she looks good! When she's tanned... yea she looks good, but compared to her original skin color... not so good.
So I'd say if it looks good on you.. go for it! Either way, if you can be confident and carry yourself in a high manner.. guys will love it.
In Asia, I know that women tend to try to be pale. But I guess in American a lot of people aspire to be tan. I really don't think it matters that much because I'm white, and very pale, and as far as I know it's never held me back. If you think you look a little washed out, though, just put on some peach cream blush or something. Don't make it too purply-lavender-pink or you could look weird. Asians tend to have warm-toned skin that works better with peach colors.
I'm trying to be PC about this, so please nobody get offended!
I think it depends on the nationality of that particular girl. One of my friends is Korean and she tans all the time and looks great. I've seen pictures of her before she started tanning, and I would say she looks better.
But someone like Zhang Ziyi (sp?) probably shouldn't fake & bake, and just ride with her natural skin tone which is beautiful on her.

Personally, I think that whether a girl is tan or not makes a difference in their attractiveness. But it depends on the specific girl if they look better with or without it. In general, I think that Asian girls who have a darker skin tone to begin with look good when they get a tan. Those with pale skin to start are just as attractive without a tan.
Ok, not a guy, but this is my opinion on asian girls, being one myself. I have a natural tan, but I also have Hawaiian and puerto rican in me, so that's where I get the color. My half sister is pale but black hair, and a lot of guys go for her. (also 16, so maybe that's why) If you want to go tan, get the spray, my sister does that all year round, because she hates the pale face. Its also safer than getting skin cancer.
Either way is fine. I definately don't think a girl is any more or any less attractive simply based on whether or not she is tanned. Tan lines are a completely different story, but aside from that both are fine.
I most definitely prefer pale Asian girls. I am most familiar with Southeast Asians, as I spent most of my childhood in the Philippines, despite my being a White American guy. I love very pale Filipinas, Vietnamese, Thai and some very pale Chinese girls. I never got much into Japanese girls for various reasons, but I most definitely love ALL Asian girls, but prefer the very pale-skinned ones.
I'm naturally tan I have always been since a child and I'm Asian I would love to be pale. Every summer I get even more tan and in the winter I get lighter so i hate summer and love winter for my skin but I love summer to go outside and love winter too. I guess it really doesn't matter what skin tone you are. All that matters is that you are happy with yourself.
HI, I'm working in China at the moment and my jaw drops when I see a tanned girl. And the prettiest girls are those that are naturally tanned. I can't believe it when they tell me that they try everything to be white! Any advise on how I can change their minds?
i gotta say I love the tanned asian girls.pale is ok too. but there is something about brown skin that sets off the chemistry.BTW I am a naturally well tanned latin male.
Pale, I love pale Asian girls! Not often I'd see a tan one :)
I am having a hard time to keep my self tan or get tan. Same as you, when winter I turn pale.
on asian girl I like it tan.
Btw I am asian as wellEither way Asian girls are cute. Being pale is a lot better than being too tanned like most of the girls that work at tanning salons, it looks stupid and fake
Tan looks and feel so much healthier. Asian girls spend WAY too much time avoiding the sun and it give their skin a weird texture that looks kind of unhealthy and not very attractive
Asian woman are beautiful... Either they are tanned or pale... It just depends which colour fits the person... ❤
Both are fine by me , but I prefer pale skin , nothing against tanned skin, well it kinda depends on your face what suit you best :), as long as it natural :)
Either way. But the tan should look natural.
I'm also asian... either way works well..
Asians look great both light and dark honestly.
fair skinned Asian girls :)
Either way they are beautilful!
