Is she hinting that she likes me?

There's a really good girl friend of mine, who has kinda been flirting with me a lot lately. A couple days ago, a group of us were studying for finals. Eventually, only me, her, and a good friend of hers were left and I made a funny joke or something, I don't remember. She laughed and said "That's why I like you (but she said it as in like as a friend I think). You're funny." When I mentioned a movie came out on my birthday, she said that all of us should go, half-jokingly. When her friend said she probably couldn't she said "That's OK. You can take me, right? Let's go!"

Her friend had to leave, so she said "You can help me study!" and sounded excited. I helped her out and I stayed at her house for a few more hours. We talked a lot and she laughed a lot at things I said that weren't that funny and we had good conversations, and made good eye contact, too. When she's with a group of people she seems more confident, but at times she seemed shy and quiet when it was just us.

We (our group of friends) met up again a couple of days later and when we saw a sign for the movie she asked "Will you take me to the movie?" in a kind of joking way, but somewhat sincere as well. It doesn't come out for a couple weeks, but I plan on asking her, by the way. She also kept laughing at every joke I made. She said "You're my BFF!" and "You're my favorite!" and kept giving me high fives. She said "we should make a secret handshake!" and we made one. She was standing close to me a lot and seemed really nice to me.

We've been texting a lot more lately too. She always tells me that I'm funny and says I'm nice. Does any of this mean anything? Thanks!

No doubt. She is into you and is waiting for you to make the first move. Don't be afraid to see where this goes. Ask her out on a date. If she says no and that she just wants to be friends, then you have your answer. If she says yes, then there you go. From my experience, girls are more or less direct of what they want. You just have to be able to read the signs. Check out her body language next time your with her. Do you always catch her looking at you. She actually is saying what she wants, but it comes off jokingly because she is unsure how you feel about her. You have fish on your hook, its time to reel her in.

Yeah I think she did hinted that she likes you. And she wants to be alone with you. sometimes a person will do that to break the ice. They make what their sayin into a joke, that way its less embarrassing, but at the sametime they can tell you whts really on their mind. Yeah standing close to person, or invading their personal space is a sign that they like you. And the fact that she got shy when your friends left is also is good sign . So she's shows all the signs she likes you by joking around, which is good. So if I were you I would start joking around with her 2. Gud luck :)

She seems to flirt for the fun of it, you'd think if she really liked you she would come out and say it,

but who knows what she's like

I think the only way to figure it out is to come out and ask her, don't make it clear that you like her back in case she doesn't feel the same way, just ask if she likes you as more than a friend.

Try not to make it awkward, and if it turns out she doesn't feel that way, you can still be gretat friends.

it could mean she likes you and is too immature to actually tell you. I think you should take her out and see how it goes.. she's sending mixed signals by hinting that she wants a date then saying ur her bff. I think its really sweet how you like her :) just be your funny self and if she likes you, she will probably get a little touchy feely. maybe playfully hit you or touch your arm.. pay attention to the subtle signals and body language. I hope it all works out for you guys :)

I think she likes you, but she's confused because she knows she likes you more then as a friend, but she's not sure if she wants a relationship with you yet. Does this make sense? Anyways, I think you should ask her to go to the movie coming out on your birthday, and at the end of that, ask her if she'd like to go out to eat or something else that's really casual. :)

If you like her, ask her out. If she's flirting, she's at least somewhat attracted to you. Go for it and see what happens. If you don't try, you'll never get anywhere.
