I guess you pick the wrong girls to joke with? Maybe it's because I was raised with my brother and my dad always teasing and joking around with me and I have a lot of guy friends who do the same, but I enjoy a good joke. Usually I love joking around with my friends, with the guys at work, and with a person I'm dating. Sometimes guy humour isn't to my taste (it can be a little raunchy), but I rarely get p*ssed off by it. Even if they offend me, I'm not going to fly off the handle, if we're casual friends I might not say anything at all. If we're close or we're dating, I'll say something to let them know it bothers me if they keep joking about it, but not make it a big deal. In most cases, people don't set out to be offensive or mean and don't realize they have been until you bring it up so I see no need to get angry right away. If they continue to do it after I've said something, well then that's just insensitive and I feel I have every right to be angry. Of course, there's some things that are just off-limits to joke about and if you don't know them, you can offend people (ie their weight, religion, culture, family etc.) Even if THEY joke about it, it doesn't mean you should too. If you stay away from those I would think you could joke around and not make girls get "p*ssy".
Some girls just like having something to feel bad for themselves about. Some girls don't have any experience with guys and how they act. I grew up with two brothers and their friends were at the house 24/7, and they all became like my brothers, and I realized that the amount of time I spent with them made me not as sensitive to how guys act, when other girls react more dramatically.
It really depends on the jokes you make. Sometimes if it's a joke that's edgy they take it seriously and don't think you care as much. If they just freak out about everything maybe they need to be on bipolar meds.
Chicks always need something to complain about. Add this to your check list. This is #4,560 for me.
