Just accept the gifts and stop feeling like just because a guy bought you something that you're obligated to sleep with him. Only put out when you want to. You don't owe him anything. A gift is a gift, you didn't ask for it, he gave it to you. Many guys will buy you things because they feel they are putting a "down payment" on the p****. So what? that doesn't mean you have to sleep with him. Some will do it because they want to impress you. Some will do it because they have money to burn and it boosts their ego to spend money on a pretty girl. I mean, you could be dating guys who don't buy you gifts and STILL want to get in your pants lol. at the end of the day, if a guy is dating you he wants to get in your pants. Whatever the reason is, just enjoy that you're being gifted and don't put your personal feelings of guilt into it.

Its either learned or innate, but most men expect to show both interest and love via gifts/financial resources.
To be honest, I don't think its just cultural. For a lot of human evolution, men would have provided resources to a mate or potential mate. She'd use them for the kids. So the natural flow of 'stuff' was from men, to their sexual partners, to their kids.
Aside from looks, the other major attractor in men is status. In fact, status is the only thing that can trump a man's bad looks. He's attempting to show off his status by showing you he has lots of money to spend on gifts for you. And yep, 99.9999% its about getting in your pants, don't be fooled or believe otherwise.

Unfortunately, guys feel the need to impress women. We know women are hypergamous and they love money and many of the expensive things that can be bought with said money.
I didn't know it was a secret, yes we buy presents to get into your pants
It's not about guilting you into reciprocating, it's about putting a smile on your face.
