Hey everyone :) First of all I know u guys might say "Hell! This isn't a site for religions...Go post this somewhere else!" and that's why I want to tell you why I'm posting this...

I'm a 16 years old Muslim girl! I live in Spain at this moment and I have traveled a few places .. I've heard people talking about Islam... I've seen people staring at Muslim women wearing the hijab as if they were dirt! I started wondering, why? Why do Muslims have to get this look? Why do people think we are terrorists? Aren't we ALL human beings? Don't we all have rights? Why is it that people believe nearly EVERYTHING they see on media without trying to open their minds a bit and try to to see things in the REAL life...

When a group of Muslim terrorists kill people for no reason (which is FORBIDDEN in Islam) all people are just like "Hey look! We knew it! We knew Muslims are terrorists! I hope they all die ..." But when non-muslims terrorists kill not much breaking news comes out...This is a situation that I noticed a few months before.

As a Muslim I get hurt when I see that LOTS of people don't understand Islam as it is... I HATE it when media starts making up things and giving a really bad and TOTALLY DIFFERENT image of Islam, hijab, etc.

I'm not trying to disrespect ANY OTHER RELIGION because I respect ALL OF THEM... We all have our own beliefs...But I want to show you people what Islam is .. I want to show you that Muslims aren't all the same... I want to show you that if we go covered that doesn't mean we are less humans than you are...It's our choice and we want to be respected just like all of you...And most of all, I want to show you that Islam is a religion of PEACE, not MURDER...

Sorry for talking a lot! This video is for everyone that thinks that Islam is a religion of terrorism...Who thinks that Islam doesn't give women their rights... To people that just don't know what real Islam is... Thanks for reading. Please watch the video and PLEASE no harsh comments...Let us all respect each other...

In ISIS territory, women aren't to be heard. They can't raise their voice and they can't go out anywhere without a male. They can't show their eyes otherwise they'll get lashed. They're treated like sub-humans/slaves and are used by men and are quickly and easily disposed of by their own family/men. Most of them have been raped numerous times because the men view them as possessions. Some of these rules apply outside of ISIS territory. I think it's very oppressive of women. I'm not sure if that's Islam or just the men manipulating it their own way. I don't know why any woman would want to become a Muslim.

@Candy12345 I was using it as an example seeing as it's called "The Islamic State" and what happens there, is also found elsewhere (women covering up, not being able to go anywhere without a man, being considered second class to men). They are influenced by Islam, such as stoning which they did thousands of years ago. There must've been a reason for bombing a mosque. Muslims don't agree with ISIS, which is enough for ISIS to bomb them.

Islam supports gender roles, which feminists hate. They have spent decades trying to convince people that gender roles are oppressive to women. It is this idea of women being victimized in past societies do to gender roles that is their greatest recruitment method. That is why people think Islam is oppressive to women. As such no feminist country will ever be able to tolerate a religion that supports gender roles.

When it comes to empowerment, freedoms or whatever we want to call it, we need to keep in mind it depends on what ways a person wants to be empowered. To one person the United States might be the most free country on the planet. To another person China might be the most free country on the planet. It depends on what rights and freedoms are important to that individual.

In the west our values typically are the complete opposite of Islam. So people see that as oppressive. Meanwhile Muslims in the United States might feel oppressed because their views are not embraced.

I am 16 and I was born in a Muslim country and I lived there for 7-8 years and I know what my religion is about.. Of course not everything.. But I'm talking about the basic stuff here... This doesn't change anything. As I told you before there are many interpretations of islam. Why do you think there is shia islam and sunni islam & even a branch called sufis. And those groups are also divided. Sunnis are divided into wahabis and salafists and etc? While the sunnis are the harshest forbidding any depicting of Muhammad, shias have made islam a bit more artsy with paintings, portraits & architecture. The sufis have music and dance interpretations of islam! There are many branches in between. These fundamental differences come from different interpretations of verses & hadiths. While you might not believe in killing "unbelievers" as a 16 year old girl, some muslim scholars who make a living off interpretations and have studied the subject far more than you have lived, believe it is mandatory. Fact is that the westernized muslims are not in majority and when the media does represent what those "bad" muslims believe, the westernized muslims such as yourself get offend.

They oppress women in western cultures by telling them that they have to have a certain body figure and say which bodies are more beautiful than the other. I mean how is that not oppressing women? Because that's telling them that they are only valued for their bodies and not for their intellect or personality. Look at all these eating disorders that women have those all were developed from western cultures and those disorders are all psychological. Making the claim that the media is oppressing women is as dumb as claiming porn oppresses men with small penises. The media picks the most beautiful men and women, because people are free to watch what they like. That doesn't mean they are oppressing anyone. That is just a business decision. They aren't passing laws forbidding less attractive people the same rights as more attractive people.

If you want to live in a free country, then you are going to have to accept that people will be free to gravitate toward more beautiful people. While that may not be fair, it isn't society or even the medial that is to blame. That is just a result of mother nature being more generous to some of us than to others.

Yeah it does cause people watch what the media says and they have a big influence on what fashion trends are cool or attractive. That's where advertising comes into play they have a big say in what is beautiful or not go to other countries where they don't have that and that's why you won't see eating disorders in non western countries. @heavensgift2girls and advertisements are part of the media so are businesses.

In non western countries they generally don't have the obesity problems we have. Meaning their physical standards for what is thin is actually much higher. What we would see as a normal girl here, they would see as chubby or even fat.

All freedoms come at a price. The freedom to over eat and drink sugary soft drinks for example creates problems in our society that won't exist in other countries. That doesn't mean that we are oppressed because we can choose to live a lifestyle that others can't.

And plus not all countries have models and have different types of advertisement, but the difference is is that in non western countries they don't show all these models and false advertisement commercials for them.

People are not free to eat whatever they want, because in most countries they can't afford it. Wealth is a huge part of this, because a country that can't afford to partake in certain freedoms, will naturally have a different culture. In poor countries for example women can't afford to spend nearly as much on beauty products. Meaning their advertising will be much different. This is what is known as a first world problem.

When people actually are oppressed either because of the law, or do to poverty then you see a lot of different things happen within their culture. If everyone in western counties ended up dirt poor tomorrow, and we passed laws saying women couldn't show any part of their body in public, then they would no longer be oppressed in the ways you think they are currently oppressed. Instead they would be facing actual oppression.

Overall; It's a great Take, even if we can't change people's stuck minds towards to Islam...
Generally people tend to compare Islam with other religions; this is a sign of uncapability to learn and obstinate disrespectful minds unfortunately... I do believe if people respect to others how they are respected or at least try to respect; everything will be better and I am sure noone will have a problem to respect other and live with them peacefully... Simply put evolution is a theory says how life came to be. From ancestors who lived billions of years ago. Whom's offspring , given they were fit to survive the environmental conditions , created more offspring. and it went on and on (the ones who couldn't survive died).. we are here with these Evolved brains , Excellent Nerve system etc because of this. The Homo Sapiens who were fit enough to keep living on mated and made more baby Homo sapiens , who carried their parents genes and if they were fit enough they could keep on reproducing. The ones who were not good at hunting and surviving (being fit) died. so their genes did not pass one. The fit ones genes did , ultimately leading to us having the developed brains. Yes the early ancestors were apes, and before you ask " well how are there still apes if we evolved from them? " well we came from a ancestor common to all apes.

Hey! U r right ! Islam isn't a false religion.. First of all recently LOTS if people started to convert to Islam the last few years.. And if it was a false religion it wouldn't have THAT effect on people.. Ok, so the last prophet was called Mohammed~ peace be upon him~ and he came with the Qur'an, before him there were other prophets ( in total they r 25 ) like Jesus (With the Bible ), Moses ( with the Tawrah) , etc. Those holy book and others cane BEFORE Qur'an and they were words of God but they were changed by humans.. U'll say " oh really? So now u'll say Qur'an didn't change? " YES ! It didn't l, why? Coz like I said Qur'an was the last holy book that cane which contains literally ALL issues of life, it talks about what things to do and what not, marriage, divorcement (+ her right AFTER she gets divorced), both gender rights, children's rights, law and human rights, etc. If u don't know how to act in any situation, go to Qur'an.. by the way in Qur'an which cane before nearly 4000years ago it also talks about EXACTLY how the baby gets created in the womb and belly of his mom! How could it possibly be there if they had NOTHING to see how that baby is created? The only one that knows that is God and it was all written there.. So why the other books changed but Qur'an didn't? As I said before, Qur'an was the last book sent from God.. And? Well in Qur'an God promised to not let ANYONE change it, why? Coz since its the last one that means its complete ! It has EVERYTHING we need to know about life and worshipping God.. People that converted to Islam most of them were saying " we just didn't have the answers to our questions & something's didn't make sense but when we read Qur'an it all made sense and we found our answers" how? A few years ago when America discovered that ants can talk and communicate it was on the news and I was in Jordan and heard of it on the news, back then I had 10 yeas old.. When I heard that they just discovered it I was like "what? They just knew that? I knew that literally since I was 6 coz its in Qur'an!" .. I'm not Christian as u know but I like to know about religions ( I'm not finding spare time to read about them but in the future I will inshallah ) but what I know is that the Bible is more the, one, I mean, its not just one book , the same words, etc. U bring 2 bibles and u have different words! On the other hand Qur'an in only one book, u will NEVER bring 2 Qur'ans and find a different in there words ! They have the EXACT words, no change.. Imagine Bibles and Qur'ans all get burned.. Which book will be able to get back again? Bible? Qur'an? Well like I said Qur'an is the same all over the world and MILLIONS of people know it by heart with literally every single word ( 👇)

I didn't say Islam is true or false, I said that is the interesting question to find out.

1. The Bible do not accept the Qur'an as being true, so to claim Jesus as a prophet and then call him a lire is honestly a fail
2. The Qur'an is not 4000 years old but rather around 1400 years old
3. The Bible is consisting of many books/letters, however they are all the same more or less. The difference is mainly due to translation. The same goes for the translated versions of the Qur'an.
You will not find 2 recognised Bibles with different texts, since all Bible text is known and can be validated.
4. A religions popularity have no correlation to it's truthfulness.

Yes I live in " free" Europe, so what? I lived and I was born in Jordan and I lived there for 7-8 years !!! And I still didn't even complete. 2 years in Spain !!! And yes ! There's lots of wars in the middle east and Africa but does that mean they r right? Those murders aren't doing as Islam is asking from them to do and that's why wars are there !!! She tells us that she had the curiosity to know why do people hate Muslims that much, so she started to read about Islam.. And everytime she fell deeper in it.. Let me sum it up for u , she said that she went to Gaza and she was just so afraid of Arabs there coz all she ever knew about Arabs and Muslims ( from TV, newspaper, etc ) is that they kill people.. They disrespect women and they might rape them.. She thought the won't welcome her at all and she has no idea how women in hijab r.. But as she started to talk with people in Palestine she saw that it was all THE OPPOSITE.. They welcomed her and women, had there rights and they were all so humble and lovable. .. Then she asked why do we have Ramadan coz she got mad that even poor people fast.. So a poor women told her its so that we would feel how poor people live.. And basically she tells us that Islam isn't like what u see on media..
