5. It decreases your chance of having a stroke.

6. It makes you run faster.

7. It helps you burn fat.

8. It substantially lowers your risk for type II diabetes.

9. It fortifies your mind against diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.

10. It can replace your daily facial scrub.

11. It drastically improves the quality of your naps.

12. It can hold off Father Time.

13. It makes your hair shine.

14. It combats depression.

15. It does great things for your liver.

16. It can make you more social.

17. It prevents eye disease.

18. It shields you from skin cancer.

19. It makes your pains go away.

20. It simply makes every morning better

  • This is a pretty good take, but I have a few notes to make.

    3. It doesn’t negate the effects of sleep deprivation, it only masks them. Sleep deprivation is a major health problem that won’t be fixed by coffee.

    5. Caffeine can be a vasodilator OR a vasoconstrictor depending on the individual, concentration, and frequency. A vasodilator can prevent clots blocking blood vessels, which may cause a lower risk of stroke, ONLY if the stroke was caused by a clot and not a bleed. It won’t help with a bleed. If the caffeine instead has a vasoconstricting effect, it can actually raise the risk of stroke.

    6. Same thing as 5 with vasoconstriction/dilation. It can help or hinder. Caffeine is also a diuretic and can cause dehydration, which is only going to hurt athletic ability.

    17. Actually, studies show that high caffeine consumption can cause eye disease, not prevent or help it, specifically glaucoma.

    Excess caffeine consumption can also cause insomnia, anxiety, irritability, tremors and increased heart rate/blood pressure.

    Coffee can be great, but only in moderation :p

    • I understand, but point 3 was sort of just outright wrong. I don't think people should go around thinking that coffee is gonna fix sleep deprivation :p that's all.
