Our biology is set up so that men aren't really valued for their looks the way women are. So the seeing an average to below average guy with a pretty woman is nothing new.
The other way around is a lot more rare and interesting. I barely come across it but when I do, the woman is only slightly lesser looking than the guy. Never a major difference. Be interesting to see a take on the opposite.
I've seen plenty of good looking guys with unattractive women. Mainly it was because they did not have much option - could not play the game right - but it definitely happens.
@the_rake Are uou say that people you think are attractive should only be with other people you consider attractive and people you consider ugly should only be with other people you consider ugly? If you are then it is a load of crap. There is no one person everyone thinks is attractive.
no, not at all. all I would say to people like OP is that they should not assume just because an ugly guy (as subjectively perceived) is willing to date by personality rather than looks, it means that this alone makes him virtuous. also, it's a bad mistake to assume that ugly guys are meaningful in this way whereas good looking guys must be shallow and superficial, only looking to date hot girls, etc.
Bless your soul. Your second paragraph was perfection. I say it all the time, because I am never contempt. Yes, in RARE cases attractive men fetch themselves bland women, but they're never anything extreme.
Hah, as for our biology, it's sadly true. It would seem this part of my brain is very male inclined.
Probably because he was the only one with enough balls to approach her. Very attractive women are approached less often then one thinks, because the guy either thinks he's not attractove to get her to like him and or to nervous to. So when he approaches, she's impressed he had the courage to do so. Another reason could be she once was what society calls an "ugly duckling" and knows what it felt like and can appreciate the hardness of the less attractive guy approaching her. Another reason could be she is done dealing with good looking guys who are pieces of crap and widened her openness to dating any guy even if he looks goofy.
@the_rake well approaching is only 6% of the win, in order to get her interested in the guy, hed have to go the rest of the 94% with a good game, wit, adorableness and a decent amount of smoothness lol, it can be difficult but it can be done
I would totally agree with you if people would be with each other because they feel it, but unfortunately these seem to be the exception to the rule. Most of the time a beautiful woman is with a old/ugly/unattractive guy for the money.. or other benefits they have...
Great Mytake! My family always says that I can do better than my boyfriend because he's overweight and has no money and no job, but I literally don't care. We could be homeless together and I'd still stay by his side because to me he is the most amazing man in the whole wide world! I'd give up Channing Tatum or Leonardo Dicaprio for him because I would never love those rich and famous guys like I love my boyfriend :) looks don't matter as long as you find love ❤ I hope you all find it too
@Touglyforfemales but it doesn't matter. My boyfriend lost his job and had to move back in with his parents and I'm still with him. The money never mattered to me anyway I grew up to be poor anyway so I hate spending money lol
But you like spending other peoples money. I don't have a job or can't even get a job due to my disability and yet I'm single after all you said money doesn't matter to women. Its all about looks, then height, then money and lastly dick size. I didn't even mentioned personality cause lets face facts girls chose the bad boy over the nice guy ops I forgot Nice guys either fake being nice for sex or those that are really nice are doormats just to get dumped down the road.
@Touglyforfemales ummm I don't like to spend other people's money because it's their money and why would I spend it if I don't need anything? I don't buy anything that I don't really need bro you're just jumping to conclusions like you're on a trampoline. I do not care about my bfs dick size and I actually prefer small ones because large ones hurt and never fit. I'm sorry that you're hurt because you haven't found the right one yet but do not blame every woman or you won't find your woman/man.
@Touglyforfemales and my boyfriend is the nicest 21 year old man I have ever met. That's why he got fired because he was bad at selling crap lol. But one day I know we're going to do great things. Maybe one day he'll even finish school and get his GED!
Each time I re-read your comment to make sure I understand what you're saying I keep saying in my head "who hurt you?" Just because you have np job and are on disability is NOT the reason you're single or poor people wouldn't be having children. Your crappy and pessimistic personality may be the reason. You sound like you're giving up on life and a woman doesn't want that. They want a man who isn't giving up no matter the situation!
Again more lies females say of course dick size , matters you just say that so you won't come off as a size queen. I honestly don't know why that's so hard to admit. And don't say you feel sorry when you don't mean it cause I've heard it before.
And that's why he was fired cause he was to nice no duh, that's what I mentioned earlier women hate nice guys and its only a matter of time before you realize that and you get bored and dump him. You may say no that's not true etc but give it time. I've seen and heard it before.
Your right I have given up cause why waste my time when I'm already 100% sure the girl or woman will reject me how stupid do you think I am. I'm ugly, fat, dumb and have little friends etc. So I'm really suppose to ask a woman out?
@Touglyforfemales Darling, it's not that we don't like nice guys. We just don't like fat guys. :) Most good looking guys are "bad boys" because they are so rare (thanks to petulant degenerates like the take owner), to the extent that they become arrogant about it.
Because love is being able to see through fake tits, makeup to cover the true colors, and muscles that can potentially hurt you later on. My 1st love.. we were an odd couple he was tall skinnier white quiet.. basically everything that im not black, short, stubby, curvy and out going.. everyone thinks that I can do better and th fact is there'll always be someone hotter than bae... but that person can be It for what they provide.. not what they lack
after reading lot of cmnts.. and going through ur take 2-3 times... i usually don't cmnt when a bad take is posted.. but urs hit a new low... whether ur intentions were good or not.. u &#! t at writing take. ur tagline n ur whatever it is have very very little connection... n what's ur perception in my mind about u* yeah thats after u write a bs , is that u r definitely not hot or cute.. ur hater who lacks confidence and can't accept others correcting her
Yeah , I'll take criticism about my writing from someone who fails at English , grammar and spelling. Wow you're not only a hypocrite and an illegal alien but you're dumb as a rock , a walking contradiction and an imbecile. :D don't worry I'm laughing with you!
I really enjoyed your article. I realized wholesome, true, and honest facts of life from it. But... Why would you respond back to this guy in such a terrible way? His comment was shit and your right: grammatically incorrect. However, where was your confidence you were writing about to refrain from letting this bother you? Why would you bring him down in the same way he tried to bring you down? I'm not bashing you Stacy, just a moment of introspection.
@Dlewis_111 There's a difference between one providing their input and being respectful about it , and then there's a difference between coming across as disrespect. I believe in fair treatment. If someone wants to be respected , they have to do the same to me in return. Point , blank , period. Telling me I'm not hot or cute is rude. He has never seen me. Telling me my article is shit , is rude as well. Understand respect is earned and not given. So until people can speak to me like a human , then I'll do the same to them in return.
He brought me down , so I did the same. You slap me. I slap you. You kick me. I kick you. That's how it works. The fact that you blindly read his comment and flew by all the insults and threw at me, and read mine as if I'm targeting him is truly saddening.
this is just my 2 cents, so take what you will from it but coming from an "under 18" who has had more experience than most 25 year olds, the reason the unattractive guy gets the beautiful women is because women simply don't care about looks, period. its just that good looking guys generally have way more confidence because they get flirted more with women from a young age. so they in most cases do better than unattractive guys. this causes people to believe the illusion that women care about looks
I feel like you are contradicting yourself. If good looks are what makes the girls to to the guy so he can build his self esteem than looks do matter to women
sorry i should have been more clear about what i mean. i'm talking about flirting just for shits and giggles, without aiming for it to lead to anything. girls are just generally more likely to do this kind of meaningless flirting with physically goodlooking guys. but there's a difference between that and seriously pursuing someone for a relationship/hookup which is what this article is about. girls also start flirting with guys from a young age, before the guy knows how confident he is, so all other things being equal, the girl will choose to flirt with the hot guy rather than the average guy. but if you think looks matter for you then...
I'm not saying that field only care about looks, but I feel like that's what you are saying and don't even realize it. I think most girls do though, it takes some neutering to realize that it's one of the least important qualities in a mate
what do you mean by "neutering"? and how important it is as a quality is subjective. looks are important to me. now i know what you're thinking - here's a guy who knows women don't care about looks, yet he can't return the favour... what a hypocrite! but no. as far as i'm concerned, girls are free to care about looks as much or as little as they want. the fact that they don't care doesn't mean i owe it to them to not care about looks either.
Wow that explains a lot. I guess i won't judge them anymore because i always did but never understood why. In fact, i was one of those guys who had once a gorgeous girlfriend and everyone asked me how i got her to be my girlfriend and all i said was " i was myself and she liked me for who i was".
I can relate to both of you guys. I got bullied a lot for being "ugly" and then I got deemed pretty and now I got deemed ugly again lol. Its fustrating. I dated a guy who wasn't attractive but had a nice personality, sadly he was a narcissistic manipulator so it didn't end like yours...
It burns me from the inside out. "There was once a girl who was considered so very beautiful by billions of people. Breath taking, youthful, fair, and striking. One would think she could get any one single of them... But... There was a twist...
I love this, thank you for sharing! Can i be nosey and ask if it worked out in the long term for you two? and if not, what happened? i'm just curious as to whether his insecurities about you being viewed as 'better' took its toll on your relationship
Lovely take ^^ I too don't judge based on appearances because, while a good looking guy would be nice to look at, it would be pointless dating him if he had no personality. Personality over looks all the way :)
Listen to this, it's a pretty good song about looks/plastic surgery:
I would love to see a picture of real you.. :) just curious.. other than that.. I like the ending of this take... but it's human nature to want what others have.. in this case it is love or happiness..

okay so when i was younger I thought i was ugly based off how women would treat me, I was a young kid and I really just wanted them to like me, not kiss me or have sex etc I was a kid
around 14 to 15 years old I decided to actually talk to girls on a more sexual level come too find out girls like me not all but plenty of them liked me a lot and I went through a faze of cockiness
thank GOD that's over I thought I was super attractive, from what i know im a decent looking guy not super amazing plus im brown, and people prefer the light complexion, im tall, in decent shape, and just a regular guy
so i really hate when women treat men bad just cause they are not the most attractive person same with men
An attractive girl CHOOSING an average guy, and that too being loyal to him, is an occurrence rarer than a four leaf clover. Not saying it does not happen, but it's so infrequent that we can't really bank on it. Kudos to you for sticking with him, but sadly that isn't true for most other women.
The reality is... most attractive women would only go for an average or below average looking man if he had wagonloads of money to compensate for his lack of looks.
actually, i see the opposite a lot. it is extremely common to see an attractive girl with just a decent looking guy. im an attractive female but im usually with simply decent looking guys, because not only is personality more important, but also a lot of attractive guys know they look good and start becoming conceited and act as though they can get any girl, which just pushes us away.
Pfft. Yeah, right. You see that ALL THE TIME. You see pretty or even gorgeous women with subpar men everywhere. What is RARER than a four-leaf clover is seeing a gorgeous man with an ugly woman.
I like this ^^ I can relate a bit to it since I had a similar experience through high school and now my looks got better so I am getting more attention. I am still not 100% confident and still have a residue of self doubt but I noticed that my awkwardness is forgiven cs of my looks. and also I don t evaluate people based on looks now. looks never really did impress me. anw that s all lol, good take, nice reminder.
I honestly didn' think people like you existed... my boyfriend is also very good-looking and I am rather ugly myself, but he loves me because we just connected, immediately. Love is more than skin deep...
@Touglyforfemales LOL. Google "hot guy ugly wife", and then google "hot wife ugly guy". The former is so incredibly rare in comparison to the latter, than you even get the LATTER when you search for the FORMER.
The first photo is offensive and disgusting and not relevant to the subject of your Take. And no, " peoples inability to not see past peoples physical appearance" is completely different than racism as no matter what race you are, there are attractive traits that are universal.
I'm tired of explaining myself , clearly you've read my responses to other users regarding this. Either you accept my reasoning behind the photo or you do not. This is not the topic of discussion nor up for debate.
"This is not the topic of discussion...", Then why put such a photo up? Especially as the first photo the reader comes to when beginning the article...
I already answered that question to another user. Reread my response to him to refresh your memory. Make your own take so you can be in control of it , instead of trying to dictate what photos you think I should use. As a fellow woman of color , you are far too sensitive ! You probably pull the race card wherever you go. Stop looking for racism when there isn't any.
Lol I'm sorry to burst your bubble man but you do not need steroids to get this look. This look is totally achievable, although I can't speak for men with different genetics than me ;)
Yeah , confident - being secure of yourself as a person and your abilities is very different from being cocky- feeling as if you are better than everyone else.
Everyone needs confidence to a degree , If you don't have it , you will hold a negative outlook towards life because you feel as if you cannot accomplish anything. Confidence is about self security and being happy with who you are as a whole. It isn't about putting yourself above others and feeling superior.
By definition it says, "well balanced and confident or serene". However , i see to you it means something different. What is your definition of centered?
Wow, you sound really defensive for no apparent reason. Calm down ! By , you saying you are centered and not confident that leads me to believe they aren't the same thing , especially by how you initially defined the word confidence. I thought we were simply having a discussion but judging by your response which seem imbalanced which would be the opposite of someone centered , I think I am done here?
I haven't said I'm not confident lol... how on Earth is this "defensive"? I read through your Take - I agreed on some points and disagreed on others. If anyone's being defensive, it's you.
Again, confidence is a part of being centred and being the best of you.
Forgive me ! I am human and was not made to express myself in a robotic nature behind a computer screen where species contact fails to exist. I am guilty , yes! I am human ! poof... i am bursting into fames.
I would say, "certifiable." The owner of this take is certifiable. When you have to use as much verbal energy as being displayed here in an attempt to say you are okay and find ways to justify it, you are certifiable

no, not at all. all I would say to people like OP is that they should not assume just because an ugly guy (as subjectively perceived) is willing to date by personality rather than looks, it means that this alone makes him virtuous. also, it's a bad mistake to assume that ugly guys are meaningful in this way whereas good looking guys must be shallow and superficial, only looking to date hot girls, etc.

Hah, as for our biology, it's sadly true. It would seem this part of my brain is very male inclined.
Probably because he was the only one with enough balls to approach her. tbh I approached many girls in my life, this is not necessarily going to be sufficient to win you the success you desire.
@the_rake well approaching is only 6% of the win, in order to get her interested in the guy, hed have to go the rest of the 94% with a good game, wit, adorableness and a decent amount of smoothness lol, it can be difficult but it can be done
yeah I get that, it's just that you said,
'Probably because he was the only one with enough balls to approach her.'
Which is obviously a simplification.
I would totally agree with you if people would be with each other because they feel it, but unfortunately these seem to be the exception to the rule. Most of the time a beautiful woman is with a old/ugly/unattractive guy for the money.. or other benefits they have...
That is true in many cases, but also untrue in others as well.
Great Mytake! My family always says that I can do better than my boyfriend because he's overweight and has no money and no job, but I literally don't care. We could be homeless together and I'd still stay by his side because to me he is the most amazing man in the whole wide world! I'd give up Channing Tatum or Leonardo Dicaprio for him because I would never love those rich and famous guys like I love my boyfriend :) looks don't matter as long as you find love ❤ I hope you all find it too
Pftttt this made me laugh.
@Touglyforfemales how did this make you laugh? I'm being serious here dude. Money nor looks are important when it comes to love.
And that's why I find it funny. If I had a nickel for everytime
I heard a girl or woman say money didn't matter I could buy
my own Island.
@Touglyforfemales but it doesn't matter. My boyfriend lost his job and had to move back in with his parents and I'm still with him. The money never mattered to me anyway I grew up to be poor anyway so I hate spending money lol

Maybe one day he'll even finish school and get his GED!

this is just my 2 cents, so take what you will from it but coming from an "under 18" who has had more experience than most 25 year olds, the reason the unattractive guy gets the beautiful women is because women simply don't care about looks, period. its just that good looking guys generally have way more confidence because they get flirted more with women from a young age. so they in most cases do better than unattractive guys. this causes people to believe the illusion that women care about looks

@JiingJjingi lol thats awkward

Well, it worked out for ten whole years :) We're currently having a huge rough patch but I'm sure we will make it through.
If a relationship can make it through 10 years, you must have something truly special together.. dont give up xx
What a waste of yourself. Thankyou for shitting on the rest of humanity. :)

I did cover that aspect here. Those 'average looking' guys probably have oodles of cash to compensate for their lack of looks.
@KRIEL55
Yeah, it seems more common because average looking guys can compensate for their lack of looks by having lots of money.
it isn't always about the money. i've never been with a rich guy. yet i've always been with decent looking guys.
Yeaa you look very cute 😊
@singlebee haha thanks 😙🙈
Welcome cutie
I honestly didn' think people like you existed... my boyfriend is also very good-looking and I am rather ugly myself, but he loves me because we just connected, immediately. Love is more than skin deep...
Men give ugly women chances
Women never give ugly men chances unless he's rich.
Cry me a river. Go create a flood of tears with all the over sensitive people who even shout the word racism at their own shadow.
This is what you call all kindz of steriods, no way you can achieve this naturally since we all have genetic limits on muscle.

Lol I'm sorry to burst your bubble man but you do not need steroids to get this look. This look is totally achievable, although I can't speak for men with different genetics than me ;)
I don't see much attactiveness in "confident" women - well not the confident kind of women you're talking about. I prefer the term "centred".
There's no issue of the woman being too cocky and annoying when she's centred.
Well I'm centred. I prefer it that way.
Yeah , which is the same as being confident.
Anything in excess is bad ex. Overconfidence.
No, it's not. Confidence is but a small part of being centred.
By definition it says, "well balanced and confident or serene".
However , i see to you it means something different. What is your definition of centered?
I said confidence is PART of being centred, did I not?
Being centred means being the best of you.
I meant period.
I haven't said I'm not confident lol... how on Earth is this "defensive"? I read through your Take - I agreed on some points and disagreed on others. If anyone's being defensive, it's you.
Again, confidence is a part of being centred and being the best of you.
The Internet is impersonal. I am reading your second to last response with a negative tone. R u getting defensive may I ask?
Not at all!
See, it's you defensive and think-skinned... you're avoiding criticism and then accusing me of being uptight or whatever lol
Relax!

Stop following me and harassing me on my takes before you get in trouble for harassment. This is a warning.
Its little bit complicated. You are just judging peoples with their body's. It's not only about how do you look.
Did u read the take?
Yeah Im not talking about you, Im talking about the person who judging peoples with their body's
