Fun Things to do at Home When it's Cold ❄️

I haven't actually ever experienced anywhere that is minus degrees in my life, but someone gave me the idea to try and write a MyTake of what to do when it's cold, so here's me having a go at it!

1. PJ's day!

That's write, leave on your fabulous pajamas and snuggle up in bed or on your couch and just have that lazy day! Get out some warm, fluffy blankets and turn that tv on or bring out those hard cover year old books or magazines and just enjoy lounging around the house. Catch up on those shows/series you've missed due to working all day long!

2. Make amazing Meals!

At this time, your not on the run to rush out of the house or have no time to eat. So get out all your kitchen skills that are hiding up your sleeves and prepare something that you don't normally have or experiment some sort of meal that you found online!

3. D.I.Y!

This is something I always enjoy no matter what weather or time of the day it is! Create something that is easy, could be crafting, sewing and knitting. The internet, especially pinterest has a bucketful of ideas! Link attached :)

4. Workout!

That's right, a way to get warm can be exercising! Remember that time you said you wanted to get healthy and work on your body? This is the perfect time to try it! Home exercises are simple and easy, just even a few situps here and there can get you warm!

5. Catching up with Friends and Family!

That's right, remember those grandparents,parents or friends you've been meaning to contact?? This is the best time to Skype them or call them!

as a Canadian who got hit with two blizzards this week, i've spent my pj days either writing or playing video games.

my other half works for the paper and never gets 'snow days'. so, when his boss called the other night and told him his shift was cancelled because only emergency personnel were allowed on the road, we celebrated by making some delicious pasta and watching mind-rotting youtube shows. it was awesome!

I guess i am the one who gave you the idea of writing a mytake about this with my opinion on your previous mytake (heatwave in australia) :) thanks for writing this. My favorite season is winter beause i am a home-loving person and this season is completely ideal for activities that you can do at home. All of the activities you wrote are great too. you are a creative and intelligent girl, young lady :))

As an Australian who's been in 40C+ heat for the past week, I have no idea what to do with this information. When it was cold for me I would always start up a little fire in the front yard while people were looking at me like I'm crazy haha

Those are certainly no wrong ideas :D
However, for me locking up is more something I do when it's stormy or rainy weather. Or the worst of all, the combination of both :-(
I've done 3 hour hikes in -10°C. What you need to do, is put layers on and if possible one layer that is thermal.
You also have to keep your hands and hear warm, and try to keep moving without sweating. Doing this, you can be really comfortable in negative temperatures :D

I wish i could do this everyday, but i can only do this on weekends, -_- i work everyday... UGH i wish i could just hop in my PJ's and watch reality shows while eating burritos

Awesome, me and my friends however dont care about the weather lol. We go out when its like -5 degrees with just a t shirt on and go on long walks talking about random stuff. We visit nice places and just keep walking till we get tired. If we have a car at that moment we go joy riding. Today its -5 degrees below freezing and snowing with a really harsh wind, people look at us like wer crazy.
