It means that we must control our emotions within ourselves. No self hate. We are our own worst enemy so if we are able to find harmony and balance in ourselves then we will be able to face all of life's challenges.
For example: If we are comfortable with the way we dress/act/speak then we will not feel bad about the negative comments that people make about us.
