What do you call them? Freckles? Poll included?

So I call those random little brownish dots freckles but a lot of other people dispute it and call them beauty/birth marks. What do you call them?

They are freckles..."birth marks" look totally different and "beauty marks" are just moles. None of these are the same thing, they are all different. I can't imagine anyone calling a freckle a birth mark or beauty mark...

i call them beauty marks. to me, beauty marks ARE NOT moles. the're just like freckles but darker. moles are typically larger, raised and whatnot.

Wut? No. A birth mark is a larger, usually singular mark on the skin, present since, well, birth. Or at least infancy.
A beauty mark is just a mole in a particular area of the face. Usually just above or around the mouth area.
Freckles are a cluster of tiny orange dots that usually appear during childhood, and most vanish as you get older.

I thought this was pretty simple. If people are genuinely making these mistakes, I'm surprised.

Freckles are clusters of melanin caused by sun exposure (to people with certain genes). The birthmarks that look like freckles are usually present within the first month after birth and they are unrelated to exposure to sunlight. So, if a person with freckles and birthmarks that look like freckles was locked inside a sensory deprivation chamber for a long time, that person's freckles would fade and their birthmarks would remain.

Freckles as you said marks as in you have more then one.
No such thing as beauty marks you only can have one that's why it's call a beauty mark/spot only one and the same with a Birth mark just the one.
