Actually, for charitable causes such as you mentioned, I am betting most of the money actually does get to the cause.
But what strikes me the most about your "rant" is that you seem to have all kinds of anger about ads for saving lives, but you did not mention a single beer commercial, nor clothing commercial, nor car, garden show, cable company, etc. commercial. There are a lot more of those taking you away from your precious replays of every moment over and over. You very seldom miss any play time for commercials.
So no, I am not tired of efforts to educate people about disease and getting money to fund cures for killer diseases. What I am tired of is hearing about another loss of precious life to such foul, unfair diseases.

I suspect if you lost someone very close to you to a disease, you might suddenly feel more tolerant toward an effort to fund research to save others the pain. Breast cancer attacks 40% of women in their lifetime so there are lots of us that want it cured and these publicity efforts help raise money.
I agree with you. They're usurping diseases like these for their own gain.

The NFL is a mass marketing vehicle, it looks more and more like the 30 minutes of ads you are made to endure before you get to see the movie you paid for. Drives me nuts too.
