Will boys think im slutty if I wear short shorts?

Question

i was going to wear short shorts to school today and my mom said boys will think you're a slut. i wear them 3 times a week but this is the first time she's ever told me not to. anyway i feel like every 17 year old girl wears them so i don't think theyre slutty. I've seen other girls wear way more revealing things. they look like this:

This is coming from a girl who can count on one hand how many times she's worn shorts outside. I've worn shorts a couple of times when i was alittle little kid like 6 or 7. I wore shorts once recently in June for 1 day and they werent short lol they came almost to my knees. But a lot of guys like me more because not wearing shorts is a sign of resepct because you dont want to show off every part of you or a part of you thats considered private or more private than it is actually conveyed in media. Personally i wouldn't give a crap if i saw you wearing shorts but thats how guys think they think you're easy because you're showing too much leg and even some butt. I dont want anyone looking at my butt except the one im married too! OR anything else for that matter.

I definitely wouldn't go around boys with those on unless your at a beach or something... especially not at school... don't let other people influence you into things... boys are especially immature and too many girls dress how guys would want them to (which is slutty), but then they don't take girls seriously if actually give them what they want because that's just their sexual side speaking but really that's not what their logical side wants. I don't think it's nice to say they would think your a slut though... yes guys think that which is shallow and shaming girls sexuality but that's their problem not us girls... but those shorts definitely scream "i want attention" lol.

They say we shouldn't judge people on what they wear. but the fact is we do. If was shorts that was very revealing and showing some of her butt off, yes some guys will think you are slut. I think short shorts are good for things like going to the beach, but not for school.

A girl can look very attractive, wearing a nice dress or tight jeans, but not something that is very revealing. Don't worry about what other girls are doing at school, worry about your own image at school. The question you have to ask yourself, do you want everyone to think you are a slut?

Why don't you just wear tight jeans, it does the same job for us guys anyway. It will also show off what a nice bum you have got, but at the same time, it won't make you look too slutty.

Those are not short shorts, usually it means you're butt cheeks are hanging out. I wear shorts like that all the time and now I have an embarrassing tan line. lol White underneath the shorts and tans legs lol That's a fine length but if you're going to wear them to school then IDK. I know when I was in HS we couldn't wear shorts that didn't pass our finger length when we put our hands on our sides. In high school I didn't wear shorts though only pants and capris.

also, no offense to your mom, but you shouldn't choose the way you dress based on what boys will think. if you're comfortable with what you're wearing and you aren't over-exposing your body, please don't give a fuck about what boys think. it's just setting you up for a lifetime of decision-making based on boys' opinions which shouldn't be the case.

I don't consider them slutty, unless your butt cheeks can be seen, then is kind of too revealing, especially for school and an underage girl. But if it looks like on those pictures, it's fine.
