Question title: A Cautionary Tale: Have you also been catfished by anyone on GaG?

When my closest friend on this site and I started talking she told me a strange story about her and her son. It made me a little uncomfortable but I brushed it off because I liked her and she assured me professionals were involved. 

A little over a week ago someone came to me and told me they were told a similar story. I still felt oddly loyal to my friend and said I hadn't heard of it. However, what I heard disgusted me, and I told my "Best GaG friend" not to talk me anymore (a few days later she deactivated) but I was kind of consumed by the fact that I was duped by someone I really cared for. 

So I decided to do some digging and I found out that she/he/whoever has been doing this for years on GaG and other sites. Creating weird stories about incest. 

I found videos and pictures under the same usernames... some of them were from the role of the son or brother... other times it was the sister or mother. Though her YouTube is completely private now, someone on another site shared a private link to a video and it has FORTY THOUSAND views (I noticed before hand that it was odd that she had 850 subscribers but NO videos). The video is very similar to one she sent me only it is a sister/brother secretly recorded vid and her's was a son/mother "secret" recording. I could fill ten questions with all the shit I found on this person. 

I feel a lot of things about this: Shocked, embarrassed, grossed out, and kind of scared that he/she will return. 

So this is both a warning and a question. For those of us who really are being genuine: PLEASE be careful on the internet. If something sounds like bullshit it is probably bullshit. To those who aren't: Anyone who knows how to google can find you out if they try hard enough.

I think I'm patient zero

I joined GaG about a week after @Sandraslip

She, was one of my first friends. She'd share with me, stories about teasing guys with her thongs, and the thrill it gave her.. which, after a bit, morphed into stories of teasing her little brother.

As this phase started, I made a new friend, @MindPieces

and he started to tell me about his sister.. and confessed she was on the site, but she didn't know he was.

I'd log in some nights, to stories from her, how she teased him.. and how she thought he had jizzed in his Pajama Pants.. and then, just after it, a message from him, telling me how she'd teased him terribly and he had came in his pajama pants.

Mind Pieces was also always telling me stories about getting kicked in the balls. Stories that come up again and again here...

To be honest, I don't really remember when or how I first met SaVes.. but.. because the plot switched to Mother/Son I never really put 2 and 2 together.

I never got the Chasity Device story.. or injury story..

mine was always about play fighting.. and weird positions on the couch..

and her being turned on, but feeling guilty, and looking for me to tell her it was ok.

I live my cyber-life by a few simple rules, rules that I won't break, and a couple of times, I've really wanted to.

I will not meet anyone from my cyber-life, in real life.
I will not give out my cell number to text anyone.

So, was I fooled..

Yeah.. longer and worse then I think most people on here.

But.. it's the interweb.. we can't really be that shocked..

and, I wouldn't be surprised if I'm already friends with the next incarnation already.

Hello!

I heard the news and after reading about all of the information that you compiled, I absolutely had to come and say something.
First off: INCREDIBLE job... I had chatted with her for months and had always suspected that something was off. However, much like you, I stood by her and tried to understand the best that I could. After all, (she had listened to me when I had troubles (obviously not of the same magnitude.) The things she (?) told me became increasingly sick, and I started to believe that I was just a pawn and he or she was messing with me.
Slowly, I ceased contact with her and had not thought about it since July... Then a friend of mine from here emailed me and let me know what had happened.
All I I can say is wow. It hurts to have opened up to someone like that and then find this out. I think a lot of us are in that boat.
Thanks for all this information... Seriously, it's nice to know I'm not crazy. Well, not that kind of crazy, anyway.

Just like CommieDearest I was taken in by this person too. I was befriended by SandPlanet and asked to give her advice on a very personal subject. It was quite clear early on that there wasn't something quite right about the story, but just like commie I wrongly ignored my instincts. This person is fucked up and I hope to God nothing they told anyone was real. As Harikiri said, the things described would class as child abuse.

I genuinely hope that this question serves to warn others about this person and I have no issues outing them in their new profile @MoonMice I'm afraid I've seen the post, it's still there for all to see if you choose to look at SandPlanet's last comment, you are the same person. It seems you had many many previous accounts too. Fiona83 & SandSlip to name just two.

Whoever you are - you need to stop doing this and seek help. Forcing people to be a part of this weird fetish isn't fair and you're intelligent enough to know that, and if this isn't fantasy? Well I hope you get what's coming to you very soon.

This person shared similar details with me when she was messaging me under the guise of asking me for advise. He/she/whatever pretty much told me that she was having these wrestling matches with her son, and she told me that her son was experiencing sexual arousal resulting from their shared bodily contact.

For whatever reason this person stopped sharing any details beyond just their wrestling matches, which to be honest I am really thankful for; I feel lucky to have not been exposed to some of the things that others here were exposed to.

Anyway, even though she didn't share beyond her and her son's wrestling matches, I just had a very strange feeling that there was more beneath the surface there. I shared the details of her story with another GaGer, and that's when I began to see just how sick the whole situation was. The other GaGer not only confirmed that they had heard something similar, but unfortunately the version they were told went into even greater (and sicker) detail.

I cut contact with this person and blocked her (the only person I've ever blocked on GaG long-term), and I wish I could have done more to out them.

It just really sucks to see that so many good people here have been sucked in and mistreated by this user, used as unwitting pawns in her sick game of incestuous exhibitionism. That said, my greatest hope is that none of those stories were true and that this person stops spinning their web of lies and gets help. Clearly this is a sick person that would either do these things and/or fabricate stories about them for sexual gratification.

I was cool with our catfish in question, but we didn't talk much privately unless he/she contacted me to alert me to something offensive that should be removed. For a fake girl, they were very militant against misogynistic comments, haha.

We never got so close that any of these weird stories were shared with, but I hope that's all just made up.

No, I have never been catfished here, CommieDearest. I became well educated when I decided one day to do my homework on Facebook four years ago when I first became a member. I had met someone whom I was not sure of, always an excuse he had no cam, and it turned from the detective work that I did that he was Not living in Morocco but instead a pix of this supposed guy was in France instead, standing by his house... I did more research and realized he was tied up in some sort of Gang out there who probably was involved in everything from soup to nuts.

The other day some strange girl came to my inbox and wanted me to take down her email address. And to my not so my surprise, she was looking for money, not help with any problem.
There is many scam artists and false profiles out there on the internet. And after someone becomes educated themselves as to what to look for and perhaps do become suspicious of, it teaches one to be more knowledgeable down the line.

I just read the link on your profile, and I cannot express how utterly shocked and weirded out I am right now, omg. SandPlanet... what the actual fuck, I saw "her" around here a lot and I seriously thought that "she" was pretty awesome because she seemed intelligent and real and all! I also thought that she was pretty. I can't believe that she's actually a he and a sick fraud who has enough time, energy, and creativity to interweave multiple online personas he's created into a twisted incest (and other weird-ass fetish shit) fantasy. This person is clearly disturbed and needs professional help.

I've never been catfished on the internet before. But there was this guy here messaging me who seemed pretty suspicious. I'm not sure. We were talking for less than a week and our conversations seemed normal enough. Well, as normal as you could get with him later asking me what type of guys I liked and calling me beautiful. A day later, he removed his profile picture and changed his location to the United States. And then his account was deactivated shortly after. It was pretty weird, but I'm not sure what it actually was about.

Thank you for exposing this SandPlanet fraud, by the way! You guys have some serious skills. This catfishing issue being brought to light is literally making me question every single person I'm talking to on this site, lol. *shudders*

I already know who you're referring to. Fuck. I am so fucking mad. She had me fooled for so long. I thought it was kind of weird when she told me that she wanders around wearing a thong in front of her son, but I brushed it off.
A couple of days ago, a person contacted me and informed me that she tells the EXACT same story to other people too. She even told some people that she jacked off her son. I also found out that she had done the same thing to other users in the past under different accounts. She also has a tendency of talking to the most regular users about incest stuff under different accounts.
I am extremely shocked. I feel completely stupid and naive. Why would anyone dedicate so much time on creating a fake story about themselves? What's the purpose of it? If they want to jerk off to incest p*rn or whatever, there are a lot of websites created for that purpose.

I've seen this person's posts but I don't remember them being off simply because I was just scrolling and didn't really make it a point to read them. I definitely do know who you are talking about. That sucks that this happened to so many people here. I am going to be honest here. I tried to catfish on a social media site using one of my friends photos. He is tall muscular and good looking. I never meant any harm to anyone in doing it. Thankfully I didn't meet anyone through that. I realized I was being a fake and it made me hate myself so much that girls were complimenting someone that wasn't me. I told every girl that contacted me the truth and deleted the account. I regret doing it every day. I just wanted to know what it felt like to be someone else. It was wrong and I have to live with the fact that I'm a terrible person for doing it for the rest of my life. And I deserve the hate that I get for it. I know anyone who reads this will not trust me and that's okay and maybe I deserve that but I want to say that the person in my picture is really me. I'm ready to be honest with myself about who I am so I needed to post this. I don't think I deserve to ever be happy because of what I have done. Lol I know who you're talking about and I know pretty much everything about that person's past on here from talking to my closest friend here and her issues with this person. I've known about it for a long time and I have been wondering why so many people were so blinded and when or if they would figure it out. So, I'm glad people DID finally figure it out.

Personally, I have never been "catfished" on any site. I choose carefully the people I become friends with over the internet for the very reason of the situation you have experienced. I like to be guarded because I would hate to become close with someone and then find out they were never who they said they were. That's why I only have two people on here that I can really call my close friends and who I talk to outside of this site.

I'm sorry you were so hurt by this person but I'm very happy that you now know the truth and can use this experience as a guide for your future friendships you may form on here :)

holy shit. wtf... I never would've thought that out of all people to catfish someone (or a multitude of people in this case, it would be Sandplanet! I was in touch pretty frequently with her as well. She (he?) would often bring up their apparent son, and his situation as well. I'm in shock...

A year or so ago, 'Bryan' added me as a friend on GaG. We got to chatting and I eventually added him on FB, though I think he was still as 'Paul' before changing to Bryan. He would tell me about his mom and he actually sent me clips focused on her ass as they were getting 'groceries', admitting he had a thing for her thongs and ass in general. I actually confided in him a lot and told 'Bryan' a lot of personal stuff which he would give me advice or comfort for as well, before his mom, to his annoyance joined GaG so he left. Or that's what he told me.

Sandplanet (never told me her/his first name) would often bring up her son in private messages. We talked a lot about private things I do with my boyfriend, with pretty intimate details too...

I never got that close with her though we did chat quite often, mostly about sexually-related things. If we didn't chat for a while she'd always reach out, asking something random about her supposed son's situation, how I like to do certain sexual things, etc..

I know who you're talking about and I too find what happened to be really disturbing. The level of lying that person engaged in can only be described as pathological. The sexual abuse that user described to me and many others was horrifying and I hope that all of the stories told by that user were 100% fiction, though i'll never know for sure. I am fully aware that using the internet comes with its hazards, catfishing being one of them... But that person went above and BEYOND in deceiving, taking advantage, and even bullying others. I'm really glad you're shining light on this issue- other users need to be made aware that there are people on this site who seem to be lacking any and all semblance of a moral compass and will do whatever it takes to indulge their fantasies.

I have to reluctantly admit that I was duped too. When I first met her under a different username I remember feeling very cautious to her and even messaged one user that I felt like she was"stalking" me. She has changed user names a few times and I guess since she was a "woman" I let my guard down.
My red lights came back on again a few days ago when she deactivated and moonmice started messaging me out of the blue.
She tried to get me to watcha video, thank heavens I never did.
Also, I'm glad I never told her much about myself that I haven't openly shared on questions or comments here. It does bother me that we were Facebook friends, so she's seen pics of my children.

I think I'm too trusting of a person and it sounds like many of you are too. I'll probably step up my paranoia level a bit now.

Well, this is a right mindfuck.

Even though I disagreed with her on a lot, and she seemed sarcastic and rude sometimes, she seemed like a real person. She had consistent points of view and a style of speaking. Guess I was wrong.

When someone goes through this much effort to make a fake life, there really can't be much doubt about how terrible his/her self-esteem is. It's sad. I used to read stories like this compiled on 4chan and it really sounds miserable. I've never been catfished to this extent.

I always suspected that SaVes and SandPlanet were the same person, though I didn't think it was this weird.

I'm quite proud of my self, since I sensed something was amiss about her. She seemed rather cold to me. I haven't been catfished, but I don't allow things to progress. If someone wants to get to know me on the internet, after a certain stage, skype, or fuck off. The internet is generally a breeding ground for people who are unable to form real life relationships, for whatever reason, and the reason may be deeply suppressed to them, and so they like creating these fake little interactions over text, and when you upset their balance by 'calling them out', of course, they start blaming you. If you can't behave like an adult, and don't have the balls to speak to me properly, then I don't want to know.

Yes, I was by the same "person". Thank you for the warning.
It was under a male profile. Apparently it was a profile from a teenage boy.
He/she/whoever told me a story about how he/she/whoever was attracted to his/her sister and gave me a link to a video on YouTube.
I thought it was really strange, but I decided to not think about it.
A few months later, I was contacted by a "person" who told me that his/her younger brother was sexually attracted to him/her and he/she didn't know what to do.
That's when I begun to think that something was wrong and they could be the same person.
Another thing that caught my attention was when I was reading some answers, SandPlanet said that he/she/whoever was a white man. I thought if she was a woman, why she would say that she was a man?

Thank you for doing this research. It was very useful.
I wish there was a way to control or avoid this type of things, but unfortunately there's not.

Not by the names you have referred to. One girl who claimed to be 15 messaged me to ask advice and then proceeded to tell me how her brother would peek at her and they would wrestle. She would ask questions about it. One user posed as a guy and would keep asking me about hitting a guy in the balls. I would answer his questions because he seemed to be bothered by it and wanted to know why this girl would laugh, etc. He just kept pushing and I got annoyed. I told him that he was worrying about it too much. He stopped messaging. This was months ago. The other day, a different user with a similar username messaged me with a similar scenario.
