Why do people think all the Muslims are terrorists?

That's so ignorant. Of course there are terrorist Muslims, but how can you think they're all like that? I grew up in a Muslim community and almost all of my friends and family in real life are Muslims. I don't see them burning down buildings. Those things may happen in Eastern Anatolia, Arabia or wherever those terrorist groups go, but not in Istanbul by the Muslim people of this city. I'm %100 sure if one of them ever moves to America, they'll never hijack a plane. They are NORMAL people. Think of a Catholic girl, but Muslim. No need to be scared if they sit next to you on a plane or move next door, even if they're wearing a hijab or an abaya.

Note; This question is about Muslims, not uneducated Eastern immigrants in Eurpean countries or America.

Muslims enforce their beliefs through peer pressure, fear and threats of violence. but not all muslims do any of the things you listed. that's the probably with generalizations and stereotypes. thousands if not millions of Muslims do not wear hijabs. thousands if not millions are openly gay without threat of violence. about.00005% of all Muslim people are terrorist. That's about the same % of Catholics are priests and a small percentage of them have done things wrong.

In Turkey's Eastern parts, people don't value women, honour killings are common among Kurds. It's a sort of weird country, actually. My whole maternal family knows that I don't believe in God, but I wouldn't dare to say that to my paternal family. Families are different, like in every other country. My family is homophobic, but that's not a homophobia that would make you disown your kid, but they'd be very sad about that. You're right, there are people who KILL theirchildren just because they're homosexual. But Christians do that too. How can you respect them? I've never seen a Muslim enforcing his belief on a non-Muslim, only to their kids, but again, everyone does that. You're confusing terrorists and regular Muslims at this point. They have different views about Mohammed, my mom always said that he married to Aishe to protect her. Sounds like nonsense, but that's what she believes. A Muslim doesn't just identify as a Muslim. Some students near here tried an experiment last month where they had one guy dressed in traditional middle eastern dress and another (white) guy was harassing him, saying he didn't want him to get on the bus since he might be a terrorist etc. People immediately jumped to the 'Muslim' guy's defense, saying Muslims are not all terrorists, that judging people by appearance is wrong, insisting he was a friend of theirs... and finally someone sucker punched the 'racist' in the face and sent him running.

Okay we're not perfect, but dammit we do NOT think all Muslims are terrorists :D
