Interesting question. Turkey is mostly in Asia (rather than Europe); so, you probably would be considered non-white, for example Asian Other according to the UK Census race classifications or Mediterranean according to UK police race classifications.

However, most classifications of race are considered subjective. So, if you wanted to consider yourself white, I don't think you would be challenged on that, especially since it is often difficult to tell apart a Turk from, say, a Greek or a southern Italian.

The US Census is an exception, though, as it has an unusually broad definition of White. According to the US Census, you are white if you have origins in any of the original peoples of Europe , the Middle East or North Africa. So, Turks are White, according to the US Census.

Depends if you're mixed or not. Many Turks are eurasian whereas some are mostly European.

If you skin was relatively light and your face had Caucasian features, you'd be considered white.

If you skin was closer to a light brown, then you'd be considered mixed.

Either way, I'd call you turkish lol.

Yeah you'd be considered Caucasian. Though some may think you might be mixed because of your nose and hair texture.

From what I can tell the pics, you're most likely 80-90% white with maybe 10% of some Asian or other.

It depends on which part of Turkey you live in, which clearly shows how absurd and silly the whole race and color thing.

I was born and raised in İstanbul like all of my maternals. They're originally from Thessaloniki. My paternals immigrated there from Kastamonu.
