it's very important that you hold onto it. but that's why it's called "losing" her number and not "throwing away" or "forgetting where you put her number"
it's a piece of paper, or a card or whatever. I've lost my fcukn' iPod nano when that thing first came out. I've lost two cell phones. I've lost my neice a couple of times, but I eventually found her each time, so far.
the point is, we just lose stuff. when I say "we", I don't mean guys, I mean people in general. believe me, if that's what happened to him, he's suffering more than you are right now. because he wants to call you and he can't, he knows you're expecting him to call you and that he's unable to, and he knows that you're going to end up feeling bad, which makes him feel bad because it's his fault for losing your number. to add insult to injury, he knows you're not going to call because you don't have his number, so a chance of something developing with someone he liked has just been lost to what seems beyond his willing control. needless to say, very very frustrating when something like this happens.
Its not a matter of importance or disorganization = it has more to do with unexpected or being unprepared to get it ! Most women who have given me thier phone numbers have given it to me when I was not expecting it. They write something on a napkin or scrap paper. The most common way I have lost them is by accident in the Laundry machine. You forgot it in your pocket at 1 or 2 am when you just got home and throw your pants into the hamper - the next day you find it destroyed in your pocket after doing your laundry LOL
Many a time I have cursed myself for that one :o)

Sign Up Now!The problem isn't phone numbers, it's remembering their names, I really, really liked girls before got their numbers but forgotten their names and so I would either ring them from a different phone at weird time to get voice mail and never mention it was me and then hear their message or wait for them to ring.
This really annoys me because I can remember the entire chat but not the name, and I have no idea why, should really stop drinking so much at clubs.

I always have my phone with me so when a girl gives me her number I'll just put it in my phone and then there's no chance of me loosing it. Maybe if someone didn't have their phone or something it would be different, but for me, unless I lost my phone right after a girl gave me her number I don't see how I could loose it.
if I really liked her it would be in my phone or written in about 5 different places. if you think the guy you like lost ur number don't count on it.. few guys really loose a number rather just not want to call and use it as an excuse

well if I really like her the number would be both on my phone and sim card written on her picture that is on my wallet and maybe I would memorize it

Once, it was a real pain. It doesn`t help that I don`t have a cell phone. I wonder if it`s karma from that has stopped girls from giving me their numbers.
